this may sound a bit silly, but is their a special way/tool that is used to remove lugs off a 360. i want to clean colored calipers and need to remove the wheel to get to them, but i dont want to put any marks-scratches-scuffs in lug nuts.

Get the Griot's special Caliper Cleaning Brush and the you can reach thru the wheel........

You need to retorque lug nuts if removed..... to the published spec........seems a lot of trouble to me....and the chrome plating, well,, this ain't West Coast Choppers, it'll flake off in your hand on the third or forth time.......

I use a standard socket on a hand wrench (no impact) and chrome never comes off.

Both Snap-On and Ozat offer Aluminum-lined 22mm (7/8") sockets to help minimize any possible damage to plated fasteners (unfortunately, the information is at the old site which seems to be unavailable at the moment), but "no impact" is must regardless.

Other have suggested placing a couple of layers of a plastic grocery bag over the lugbolt head for some extra protection when using a standard socket.
