Better still, if no budget, why not get a topless "sports" car (Carrera GT) instead of the porky (what is it like 200 lbs short of 2 tons?) AWD lambo roadster? Personally, I think you're gonna find the 360 Spider to be pretty weak powerwise (especially the torque) coming from a Merci.
Congrats, Duane! That is one gorgeous 360 Spider you've found -- enjoy, and keep us updated on your driving impressions!
355's are beautiful, Frank Lipinski just sold his , that was a gorgeous one. He bought a Diablo. How are the grades doing?
355 is your best bet, dollar-per-value & repair cost I love the looks of the 348, but the money you save buying that model will just bite ya with repairs. There's a reason most people will pay a few extra bucks and get the 355. L'ets not forget the added 100hp the 355 has over the 348. The 360 is hot, but a sweet spider is still gonna cost ya something starting with the number 2 and having 6 digits. Sure, you can find a few around $170, $180 and $190....but there's a long way before it's gonna stablize. When the 430 spider comes out....the 360 spider will be like the 8-track. If you have the money and don't care about the loss...then jump on a 360. The smart buy is on the 355. You should be able to find a solid one for $90k, and how much more can it depreciate? That's what I did, and I plan to upgrade one day as well. There's more I could add...but nobody likes/reads long posts.
Hey, what's with the 348-bashing? At least the 348 Spider top won't break! Let's not even TALK about the 355 top problems... Come on now, let's leave the 348-bashing out of this! Otherwise, you will awaken the sleeping giants...
