Lee forget the TT Flog the megane buy a banger for a ton Get a wacking big loan over loads of years a repayment you can afford Buy yourself what you REALLY REALLY want a big "F" preferably a Testarossa and youll be Happyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!
I'm with Diamond...I don't think that'll help you though! Cal's with priviledge, and always has been...well for as long as I've known him. Tescos are good, but most places don't like you on sports cars untill your 21. Should be able to get on as a 2nd driver though! Call the people back who gave you the good quote for the Ferrari and ask to speak to an underwriter - get a bit arsey Pee's me off that we have to pay for the other people our age who write off Nova's! Foxy x
register the car as manx and therefore an IM* *** postcode. usually less than half price. cheap road tax, no speeding tickets, no MOT tests wanna buy an address ?
The best quote I could get was £3791, and that included insurance with the Megane (TT as second car and in my name). That was with...I forgot, but wrote it down! Most places wont insure me as a second driver or main driver until im either 23 (LV), 25 (AA) and 30 (Tesco!!). No matter what you say to them they are strict - NO GOOD CARS FOR 20 YEAR OLDS!!! The Ferrari is for classic insurance only (20years old +) and thats all they did. No hope for anyone else. I will try Priviledge tomorrow, think that will be almost the lot of them Thanks for all posts - and Babalon - I like your style! A 430 would look nice in the car park I'd love something newer, but no chance, unless I paid in excess of £10000 insurance...and most places want a driver to be 24 or 25 for big sports cars...
Have you tried Elephant? They were the only people who would insure me on my heavily modified Audi S4. 2.5k for a 10 month bonus improver, Im 22 and 3 years no claims. Everybody else wanted stupid money i.e 8k etc Seriously try them out!
Lee, Neither broker 'phoned me! However for the TT i would think £2995 with a £500 excess is about as good as I can do it for. Regards, Gary
Lee, Still think you should go down the 'mini Ferrari' route of a Fiat X1/9! Try one out, you'll love it!
