Just ordered a set of pistons from Wiseco (spoke with Brian....great guy, very helpfull and knowledgable.) for my '84 308QV. Decided on 10.5 to one to bump the power up a tad but still remain streetable. Also had my exhaust ceramacoated by airborn coatings. With everything else being stock on a freshly rebuilt motor.....where do you think I'll land HP wise? 250, 255? Just curious to see what you guys think. I'll post pics as this block up rebuild goes on!

    Thanks!

I would at least retard the intake cams to get a little more top end (better filling) and reduce static compression (= risk of detonation)..
Longer duration cams would be better nevetrtheless

I bummped a 3.0 liter to 9.8:1 from 9.3:1 and honed out the intake & exhaust path some years ago. Dynoed it before & after. The gains were marginal, but they were throughout the rev range. It made the engine more driveable, and more enjoyable for me.

To the wheels gain was 7-8 HP peak.
