My 348 squeaks while rolling. As I slow down, the interval between sqeaks increases (the frequency of squeaks decreases). When I speed up, the squeak frequency increases.

I was told that 90% of the time, this occurs because the brake pad is rubbing, and that this should go away once the brakes are applied. However, when I apply the breaks the car is still squeaking while rolling!

Sounds like you may need new break pads. On most break pads there is a wear indicator. It will make that sound when the break pad has worn to a certain level. The indicator will rub againts the break disc, to create the noise. Have a look at the break pads to see how much you have left.

If it is a hub bearing it would make a howling noise. Not a squeak.
