Strange...stripped definately, though it looks like flood damage to me?

You would have thought someone was missing it. Perhaps there is a sadder story behind the scene than just the damage to the car?

    Death of a 575 ??? Ouch! :(

You can tell they were amateurs... they left the whole car behind in peices.

You would have to get Frogman to do the PPI..... the car apparently belonged to Uday Hussein and is at one if his former palaces.

The thread where I found the pics is here

MarkPDX, what happened to the plenum in the last picture (titled "earlier shot")? It went missing in the first pictures where you can see the intake to the TBs.

tbakowsky, that's not a bad idea at all. I wonder how much something like that would go for. I'd certainly want one!

Apparently soldiers stripped off anything that had Ferrari on it. You will notice that the brake calipers also disappeared.

    Can't find anything about these:

I'd still pick up the remaining pieces. Not enough to put back together, but the left overs is still worth a few grand easily.

550, not 575. Look at the VIN.

What part fo the VIN tells you this?

  23. maranelloman

Well, my year 2000 Maranello's VIN is 120xxx, and it was built in 5/00. So a VIN of a lower number means it was built earlier, and cannot be a 575.
