Very nice David, It's great to hear............. where is everyone else from Mid-atl? Awfully quiet........ I really like hearing about these contributions.
Oops, posted first then read about about the challenge to not mention it. Sorry, don't hold it against me! I put up $200 with the Red Cross and then called Gentry with the "good news". Now I feel like a mamaluke, like the mamaluke of the year.
I'm with Drstrangelove, How much money from the 9/11 funds were they going to put towards a new phone system. If the story diden't come out, that money would never have reached the peaple who needed it most. Yes I will be giving money, I just question how much money will be used to help the peaple in need, and how much wil go to the corporate pigs with the huge salaries and bonuses.
For those of you here who have contributed, I know it's not much of a replacement for matching funds, but I'll be sending Fchat posters to all of you, If you'd like one. Just email or PM me with your address. Just my way of saying thanks. I'm also selling them in another thread to raise some money for this relief. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43756 Thanks again guys. Dave M. Image Unavailable, Please Login

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=1959051 Seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher plans to donate $10 million to aid efforts for tsunami victims in Asia, making the Ferrari driver the leader among a growing number of sports stars providing help. Schumacher's manager Willi Weber made the pledge Tuesday during a telephone call to a fund-raiser on German television, organized in collaboration with the German Red Cross, the U.N. Children's Fund and other organizations. "It's so unfathomable and horrible what happened to so many people," Schumacher, who turned 36 Monday, said in comments on his Web site. "One cannot simply blind it out. We're suffering with them." A decision on how Schumacher's donation will be used is to be made together with the Foreign Ministry in the next few days. The Dec. 26 disaster killed an estimated 150,000 people and left 5 million in need. The 2004 Forbes list of highest-paid athletes estimated Schumacher's income at $80 million, just behind golf star Tiger Woods ($80.3 million) and nearly double the yearly income for the No. 3 athlete on the list.
