    Is yours a euro model?

Is there a difference in serial #'s for US vs. euro models?

have owned the car for 3 weeks and love it. checked out 355 but love the look of 348. this is my first ferrari after having 8 porsches-this very well could be the end of my constant replacements time after time...

No F-car underdog here. I like it. About 1,090 of these cars ever made, fun to drive - GREAT first Ferrari!

    Happy New Year!

I have seen quite a lot of criticism regarding the 348. When first introduced they were the new model that was going to put Ferrari back on the map. They were hard to get and buyers were on a waiting list & paying above list. In my opinion they were and still are one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever designed & built. If one goes back & reads reviews and tests of the car at the time it was current, it was represented as "the supercar of the day, one of the best & most beautiful Ferraris ever made".
Do people criticize the 348 because newer, more expensive Ferrari's exist. The 355 was slightly more expensive relative to the 348, but very similar in all other respects, including performance. What makes the 355 such a better automobile besides people's perception/opinion? They have their mechanical issues just like any other Ferrari. Are the 355's an inferior automobile now that the 360 has replaced it. Will the 360 be downgraded when the 430 comes out? Where does this progression end. All Ferraris are beautiful automobiles regardless of their initial cost or the ridiculous snobbery some of their owners exhibit. Usually, it’s the snobby Ferrari owner who puts down all Ferrari's other than the one he/she owns. I have a 1995 348 Spider with 6K miles on it. I bought it new and its price was $122,050. There were some people in 1993 who loved the car so much that they paid up to 185K for the privilege of ownership ( read the 1993 Cavallio which discusses the car ). How can anyone say this is an inferior automobile, simply because newer models were introduced, i.e., the 355 and 360. Some owners have an insane mentality rationalizing that a 348 is a hunk of junk because the 355 exists or that the 355 is a piece of garbage because the 360 exists, etc. etc. All Ferraris are intrinsically beautiful and special cars regardless of their model number.

Hey secs, I agree with you fully but isn't this thread supposed to be a 348 registry? How about some details of yours? Your profile doesn't show you as owning one either! LOL!

Some of these VINs don't make sense....My car was April...89753....How could a car that was a month earlier have a higher VIN number...Something I don't know???

A classic color combo .... nice! Some AutoGlym Leather Care will get rid of that fungus on your seats, no problem! LOL!

PS: shouldn't the Spiders have the later design plenum chambers?

    Secs,

If you know how to upload pictures (let alone take them) you can enter your cars specs in the message area..if you do have a car and not just pictures of someone else's. Here's a hint, it's on the plate inside the door towards the front.

It seems to me like the US models have lower serial numbers then others???? Anyone know why?

I love the car but I am thinking about trying a 12 cylinder. I would keep it if I could afford both.
