OK, I don't have one, in fact few people do. Would those of you who have 400's be so kind as to post some pics? I'd especially love to see some interior pics!

    Thanks!

    Do tell, Roland.

I think it was judge4re whom I encouraged via livechat to start a thread on the 400 family. It's shape isn't everyone's favorite, but that means it's a bargain in the 12-cyl. world of F-Cars. FWIW, best looking color I've personally seen was a dark blue. Dynamic.

Finally, an interior picture, thank you!

I don't think I've ever seen the inside of one of these. And it's nice, just like I suspected.

Not to get too technical, but I believe the second picture in this thread is a 365 and the picture in the prior post to this one is a 412.

Don't mind at all, Art. I'm learning these from scratch so all input is appreciated. Y'know, the Ferrari N. America website doesn't even mention them? This thread is great! I didn't even know there were different models!

Heres a 412iA for sale at this place where I live. I don't really dig the car all that much.

I just assumed that by 400's that he meant anything in the 400 series (400, 400i, 400ia, 412, etc). It's all good. :)

VERY nice, I'd say! WOW! And look at those miles! No wonder it's going for so much. And what a great interior! Yikes, this car's new!

Nice blue one 400iGuy! These must make great touring cars. I wonder though how readily available parts are. Comments?

I've had the car for 2 years and so far haven't had problems with parts. I wasn't comfortable with the age of the tires (Michelin on metric 415mm wheels!) especially after my first run to south Florida on the Florida Turnpike (I had a Fla Hwy Patrol Trooper slow me down from 120 mph but no ticket!). I was able to get new ones from Coker but had to wait a couple of months before they got their shipment from France. Apparently Michelin runs of a batch of these tires every couple of years. I had some issues with the Bosch K-Jetronic that required some parts that were readily available. I am about to embark on trying to locate heater control levers that may prove more difficult to find.

Its not a 400, but this is the one that started the series. I'll be driving it again in two weeks when I'm back in the USA on vacation.

I love this car. Its not a "sports" car, but a great GT.

All of the negative stories come more from people that have never even driven one. Ah, the noise!!! None of this "tinny" crap out of the new V8's.

Some picture of mine (already posted - need to do new ones).

It's a '87 412 5sp blue/tan/black. And I am probably strange for you but I like the lines of the car very much and also the sound she makes. On top of it, it's a real GT with a real trunk.

Ah, found the original pics. I miss this ride (I'm just a wee bit home sick this weekend, going to the Ferrari dealer after lunch didn't help), but will use it in December when I'm home for the holidays.

Nice cars. Can someone give me a driving impression of the 400? THey look like luxury barges...is that how they drive, or are they actually fun? Thanks for the info.

Rides like a Buick, handles like a Ferrari. Amazing high speed GT car (it has Roland's vote of approval, how's that for an endorsement?). Go out and drive one. Prepare to be amazed.

That was the number we had at the last FCA track event I went to (Roebling Road). Just never took it or the inspection sticker off.

Yes, you can track these things. :D
