Funny you should mention the Cobra Tifosi12, as that car has a special place in my heart. One of our artists has one and runs around on Kumho Victoracer stickies on the street (and track!). He's got a full cage in it and blasts around wearing goggles (no windscreen). It scares him. It scares everyone. When we tuned the Cobra for PGR2 we really set it up to reflect its wild side - you have to throw it around and really "own it" while driving, but when you do it sets incredible times. You can't drive it like anything else in the game. There's a track in Australia where I was getting it to wheelstand a bit while making particularly fast laps (clipping an apex curb). It's probably the most rowdy car in the game in my opinion, and we tuned it that way as a sign of respect! You have to commit to *driving* it, paying no attention to the fact that it's sideways everywhere! Great for Kudos ;-)

I played the game and beat it in 3hours or so. The game was really sort to me but i did enjoy driving around the N-ring at the end of the game though with that Zonda i manage to get around 7:27 at the N-ring.

I hope Midnight Club3 last longer than this game did with me.

Right there lies my biggest problem with PGR and why I'm really bad at the cone challenges: All my life I have learned and tried hard to drive as clean as possible. In my mind Alain Prost and Michael Schumacher show the line not guys like Gilles Villeneuve. So I always try to never slide or go sideways and prefer cars that "behave".

To quote the GPL manual: A sliding tire has no directional integrity.

Now that I'm going through the game for the second time I've raised the music level and these local radio stations are really cool. Iridium, did you guys make these up or actually tape from real audio? I noticed Q101 from Chitown.

In regards to potential improvements for this or other games, I had a thought: Take a look at Grand Prix 3 (or 2 or 1, but not 4) and notice how open the architecture of that game is? That triggered a lot of voluntary 3rd party developments and basically guaranteed that the game is still around and being played. I realize the Xbox is a fairly closed architecture, but if it were possible for other folks to develop add-ons to your games and for the xbox users to download them, you'd have a game around forever. And you wouldn't even have to worry about things like interiors of cars as fans would develop them over time. I've been one of them and wrote several tracks for GP3.

Oh my god.... I Hate the cobra! It pisses me off so much, It always slides out of control or hits the wall... I guess you could say it Owns me more than I own it. I gotta teach it some lessons!

Ill just take it a few laps on The Ring and that should be good.

This game doesn't last for 3 hours. Im sure anyone can beat it in a few hours on an easy level, but try gold and platinum.

There are 232 events between the Kudos World Series and the arcade challenges, it takes a bit more than a few hours to mow through ;-) I think people spend an average of 40 hours beating the game on Silver the first time through. Platinum is usually (well) over 100... Then if you play it online you have tons of ghosts to download and chase around - that's always the thing which soaks up my time ;-)

With the variety of cars in the game we did tune a good number of them to be fastest when driven "properly" in a tidy manner in addition to the wilder rides. Some of the cars are more suited for sliding around in cone challenges, while others are really there to hot lap with using precise lines.

The radio stations in there are from each particular city. Local ambiance.

Thanks for the input for future versions of our games. Always nice to hear more about what people want.

Play with a more positive attitude towards it... I still play this game regularly. I know many others that do.

Iridium you don't look like a Bizarre team member to me. Oh I see, you're Seattle. You're MS, not BC. Nevermind. ;)

What was up with the liscensing that wouldn't allow BC to publish screenshots of the PGR2 engine running on Silent Cartographer? I wanted to see it, a mate at BC said they had a heck of a time running that. ;)

BTW, I don't have XBL and I've clocked 200+ hours and more than 1000 miles on my CS probably. I love the CS.

Also, tifosi, I have an answer to your Deflino problem.

In PGR1, the 4cylinder Delfino was a star and handled excellently. Just before the release of PGR2, however, Delfino announced a massively powerful V8 (hmmm... 400hp Ford engine I believe) to replace it. Handling was sacrificed for the raw power.

I totally love that touch. My favourite station is Hong Kong with that disco song from the Yoyo (sp?) girls. Does anybody know the full name of that song/band and where to get it?

Every time I'm on vacation in some foreign country I wish I could bring their local radio stations home with me. Helas! Sometimes I just tape some of the programs for fun.

....So let me get this straight: is Iridium a member programmer of Bizarre Creactions?
if so, first of all I wanna thank him for bringing this joy into my life
and then let's start a wish list for PGR 3 :

1, I wish you guys include the Lamborghini Miura in the classics race
and all other big Lambos : Countach,Diablo & Murcielago , Gallardo too.

2, show the way an Enzo open it's door etc.

3, let us hear the sound of the engine when it starts....

4, keep up the good work IRIDIUM and let me blame you for bringing this old 30-something into videogames at this late stage of life LOL
now let us all request wishes for future BC releases....

    My requests.........

    1. keep the nurburgring on whatever game you have!
    2. bring the lambo's
    3. more authentic engine noises
    4. add some us tracks like Road ATL, Laguna Seca, LimeRock....you get the idea (so we can practice before a track day hahaha).
    5. where is mclaren/bmw's m5/amg benz?
    6. Allow simple modifications that people do in real life like chip/intake/exhaust. No need for a huge twin turbo like GT has makes it too un-realistic.

My input on a future BC game:

I'm not sure to what extent, but I think being able to damage your car, and it effect your driving could be entertaining.

Damage model, engine sounds, interior cockpits. Sounds like the general wish list goes towards more sim like and less arcade, which is probably what you guys had in mind anyway: Comparing PGR 2 to PGR 1 I happily noted a trend to a more realistic and mature driving sim. PGR 1 is really arcady and probably geared at a different crowd, than the more serious car enthusiasts who enjoy the variety of vehicles in PGR 2.

in some video game magazine I read that only HALO 2 had costumers buying XBOX systems
I want to point out the fact of me geting the PGR 2 disc firts, and then I got my XBOX system and not only I bought the consolo but also a steering wheels to play it

now I want to ask you guys who else agrees about the PGR 1 being much more difficult than PGR 2?
in fact I haven't been able to unlock any ferrari yet in PGR 1

Same here. First I let some serious time go by reading all the hype about PGR 2 and how great it was. Once I read the article in Forza stating that Ferrari SpA helped with the game creation and representation of its vehicles, I bought the game. And then the XBox complete with wheel and pedals.

Heck I once bought a Dreamcast (?) to play 355 Challenge. But I couldn't save any scores, so I lost soon interest in that whole system. Bottom line is: The software dictate the purchase of the hardware, not the other way round.

PGR 1 is very easy for me. I beat any challenge in the F50...and my driver's name is Nosliw...

I played PGR1 after I played the 2nd one, and I was very displeased. I guess it was the "arcady" feel.

    1. Good idea, the Ring was an integral part of PGR2 and I think will make an appearance in PGR3
    2. Lamborghini rights are owned by EA and BC/MS cannot use them
    3. The engine noises are authentic, it's hard to be accurate in a video game
    4. PGR/MSR is a street racing series. As much as I would love to see it, those are tracks. The Ring has a street-like feel, is in the country and is technically a public road.
    5. You can't get all the cars you want, but AMG made an appearance with the SL55
    6. It's a racing game, not a mod simulator. It's not geared for that type of action (sim racing), that's what Forza/GT are for.

MS and several other companies. Luckily, only a select few can get it. I hope EA's new direction with NFS keeps their grubby hands away!

Since MS has them we can expect more coverage of Ferraris going forward. Hence the anticipation for Forza Motorsports. Who knows, maybe one day they even show a 308 in one of their games.

I think there is a 308 in the xbox live thing that you can get for $5.99 or somthing like that. I know it has a diffrent Speed 12, that cool Super Volkswagon, C6 Corvette, 612 Ferrari, and a few others.

Im pretty sure there is a 308 in it, so if you have Xbox Live you should check it out.

IM GETTING XBOX LIVE IN A FEW WEEKS!! YES! Now i can beat all you trash talkers.;)

I thought only the 288 GTO (from the 308 series) is available for download from XBox live.
