I think 2005 will be the year when Ralf and DC really show what they're made of - I just hope no one steps in it! I think that DC will probably score more points than whoever his team-mate is, but he won't dominate as a driver with his experience should. I would be very surprised to see him on the grid in 2006.
Ralf going to Toyota is a bit like when his brother went to Ferrari in 1996. The team is not doing great, but they have a large budget, great facilities, and some very highly rated personnel. This is Ralf's chance to 'do a Michael' and get the whole team motivated and devoted to his cause. At Ferrari the team are all willing to put in the effort because they can see Michael doing the same and they know that if they all pull together they'll get great results. This is Ralf's chance to do the same - and he won't do it. I expect the team to score a couple of podiums and no more. The top brass in Japan will then need someone to blame. Chances are they'll blame the management and not the driver.

Wow! That was all a bit negative wasn't it?! Sorry about that! I would absolutely love Webber to do well at Williams. It'd be great to see him and Michael fighting together. I think Webber is that rare commodity in F1 - a true sportsman.

Villeneuve overtaking a BAR occasionally would cause a wry chuckle or two!

Who do I want to be Champion? I think I'd have to say Michael because he deserves it the most. He's the most hard-working and talented guy in the field and he truly deserves everything that's coming to him. I really, really hope he has to work hard for it though!

One last negative - I hope the McLarens are dismally slow and unreliable as I cannot stand Ron Dennis - especially when he wins! ;)

I am rooting for close racing and good competition, F1 cannot stand another season like 2004. Schumacher can still win, but the other teams must bring the fight to him.

Good point. I never was much of a Massa fan, but watching him beat Michael was very impressive. The unfair way the French handled that was less.

i expect and want ferrari to win.
i'm rooting for sauber, of course. i'm sure they will perform amazingly in relation to their budget.
i'm looking foward seeing KR and JPM in the same team, will be for sure very interesting.

I truly hope Sato outqualifies and outraces Button several times this year. I wonder about Button's motivation this year, or more importantly his team's motivation to support him.

I also question JV's motivation, although he is in at least a decent car. If he is uncompetitivethroughout the first 1/3 of the season, I predict he won't make it until the end of the year. Would really like to see him do well, however.

Coulthard is going to be a heavy underdog for the first time in his career. I hope rises to the occasion, and puts the car in the points regularly.

Fireworks and a huge intrateam rivalry between JPM and KR will hurt their chances for the WDC, but it will be interesting at least. They may provide at least some challenge for Ferrari for the Constructor's title.

With all that said, I predict MS will destroy everyone else yet again this year.

Yup, let the decision take place in the last race of the year. Not halfway through the season.

I vote for JPM- the guy most people hate to see winning

Second vote- to Sato, he reminds me of Ichirio Suzuki, a scrappy fighter not afraid to go for it, would be nice to show JB up at the same time

Would be nice to see DC provide a decent performance, gotta feel sorry for the guy being outdriven by the young guns

    Teams: 1) Ferrari. 2) Toyota. 3) BAR-Honda or Renault.

    Drivers:
    1) MS, partially because he is driving for Ferrari.
    2) RB, only because he drives for Ferrari.
    3) FA, because he is not in either a McLaren or in a William.
    4) KR, even know that he drives for McLaren.
    5) RS, JT, TS & JB. Just want to see them and their teams do well.
    6) MW. Has potential, we shall wait and see. But ranked low because he drives a William.
7)JPM. Needs to grow up and realize how lucky he is to be a F1 racer. But ranked low because he is in a McLaren.
    8) FM. Was hoping that he would be as fast as KR, but have pretty much gave up on him now after 3 seasons.

For the season, I will stick with MS to win the championship. However, it would be nice to see David Coulthard win just one race and then retire. Despite his, "this is my year" attitude and failures over the past 5 seasons, I think he has really shone in representing his country and the gentlman racer image that F1 is all about. He could say Jackie ( former Stewart and Jag man, ) helped him never lose his desire as DC was spurting quotes on the podium. Second, maybe even have Schumi Jr, Ralf, win a race not only to dust off his image, ( always second fiddle, porn and marriage troubles, the knock on his fire. ) How much would this bulk up Toyota's morale?

As a true Ferrari fan, you have to cheer for the Scuderia's top driver. Im not going to whine and complain about lack of competition. If anything were to change about F1, how about some feel good stories to go along with a Ferrari glory season. No whining from JPM, Kimi having bad luck, Jordan saying they have no money, Jensen skipping teams... how about JPM starting a kids home in his native Colombia, Panis replacing a driver for one race and getting on the podium, Ralf and DC stealing one victory, then have our Ferrari championship???

    My wishes:

I want McLaren to get it together so we can see JPM and Kimi duke it out, regardless of whether it's up front or not.

Ditto with Williams, but to see what Webber can do in top machinery.

    JV restoring his reputation

I really want Fisi to shine. Nothing against Alonso, but he's just dull with trendy facial hair.

Jenson and BAR to keep it together

Ralf and Toyota to, um, yeah we really don't care much there.

And finally, if I never see that stupid inflatable donkey again it will be too soon!

Well, anyone driving a Ferrari, in any series, of course.

But in F1 I hope the other teams can give Ferrari a better test than they did last year. Since my other car is a Honda, I hope B.A.R. finally wins some races.

I hope to see more Ferraris in the ALMS, in both GT classes, and doing well. (But I also wish Lamborghini hadn't pulled out.)

And I hope that someday Ferrari takes a chunk out of their F1 budget and uses it to go after an overall Le Mans win. I think their attitude in ignoring the LMP class is totally wrong. Worldwide, I think a lot of people care who wins Le Mans and I'm sure Audi has gotten plenty out of their recent success.

He is the greatest driver .
He is also donating 10 million dollars to the tsunami victims.
THAT says volumes about his character.
I hope JB does well this year.
I wonder what the odds in vegas are for when "goofball" takes out his teamate KR.
It will also be interesting to watch Webber this season.

    Pete,
I always wanted to ask you, how come you write his name Weber and not Webber.

Mark Webber and Willi Weber (thats the way you write both names)

Maybe you know something about Mark's family name that I don't know?
    Please explain.

Sorry I'm just an idiot. Weber is shorter and pops into my head thanks to those wonderful carbs ... ;) :D ... okay from now on it will be MW.

    No disrespect intended to Mark.
