This is weird .... Last week, when I was looking at the attraction section of the montreal auto show website, it was said the 250 GTO was suppose to be there. Now look at the website right now...looks like they changed their mind because the sentence talking about the 250 is not there anyone. I just called FoQ and they said no 250 gto at the auto show. Stephan, I'll send you a PM or email tonight.
Keep in mind that he had both an original GTO and a GTO re-creation at one point...the re-creation was very high quality and a lot cheaper to thrash on the track...I still get a kick out of the teak patio set under the coach canopy with lunch being served with the proper linen in place...now that is track camping.
JOHN I JUST WENT TO FoQ in the garage they had an enzo,f50,f40,288gto and 250gto IT WAS AWESOME! pitty they were closed, only got one pic threw the dirty glass. But still what an amazing sight, all those cars near one another.
I always said that FoQ's reason for being was so that LS would have a place to hang his hat. Stephane (and John), your enthusiasm makes me smile. I guess that I've seen these cars so often over the years, I've become rather blasé (or jaded if you wish) when in their presence.
Wow!!! Funny, today when I called FoQ I asked them if Stroll's Ferrari supercars were going to be at FoQ before going to the auto show. They said no. Liars!! Thanks Stephan!
John, don't take their answer at face value. Keep in mind that when it comes to anything dealing with LS's comings and goings, the folks at FoQ are going to tread lightly. The cars may or may not be at the auto show. I remember an old episode of the Guide de L'auto with Jacques Duval, that featured cars at Tremblant during the Summit of Legends or Ferrari Festival (I don't remember which one). Duval was at the FoQ trailer with all of LS's goodies, and if my memory is correct, he was interviewing Elio (FoQ mechanic). All he said was that the cars belonged to a private collector and didn't (or couldn't) mention his name. I heard all the tifosi in Quebec collectively saying: ''Give us a f*ckin' break! We know who they belong to!'' Another episode showed Luigi Della Grotta claiming that LS offer him substantial money to buy his Ferrari dealership, to which of course LS's lawyers responded that such an offer was never made. Anyways, you get the picture I'm trying to paint? Maybe...they just don't want to advertise that the cars are going to be exhibited.
Bernie, I understand what you're saying. But at least when I say to a mechanic ''is this Mr. Stroll's F40 or Enzo...you name it'' they will say yes. Last year at the auto show, I asked Mr. Lebeau who is the owner of the Enzo. He told me I can't tell you, then I said Stroll and he replied by saying yes. (quick yes) Stephan, Maybe it sounds crazy but I just went to FoQ. The F50 had no cover...but the Enzo did. I have pics. I'll post them later.
I went at 7:30 pm. Its close. (they close at 5 or 6 everyday of the week) BTW I knew it was close, but I wanted to go.

MATT OR ? YOU ARE VERY AMUSING-CALLING ME OLD-YOU CAN BARELY SEE ME IN MY (REAL) 355. I WOULD STAY OFF THIS SITE IN THE FUTURE-YOU ARE A REAL JOKE. By the way LUCAS-nice shot of my car. I think you took that at the start of the rally as we were leaving the hotel parking lot. Come over & say hello at the next event. MARIO
LOL, you guys are going back in time to my thread about the annoying canadian auto insurance rates.... classic.... p.s for the record, i think you should both give it a rest...

Wow, very impressive as always John. See, you and I could have had such cars had we invested in the launch of Tommy Hilfger in the early nineties. I was gonna ask if you got more pics of the show.....but really, what else is there? The New hyundai Tiberoun (did I even spell that right)? Perhaps the latest Ford F150 parked on the ceiling? Or the new Viper perched up on 4 hooks hanging over millions of people (See Toronto Auto Show 2004) and you wondering "if that thing fell....it would be sad to be killed by a Dodge?" Thanks again for the pics.
Whats up with this... 0-100 kph in 3.7 sec? It should be 3.3- 3.5 sec. Plus they say the Enzo was made to celebrate Ferrari 60th anniversary. Ferrari has never mentioned those words before. Maybe its FoQ that don't know what they're talking about or maybe they know something we don't know. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. There was the new Sonata, new Jetta, Corvette, lots of Mustangs (the Mustang evolution), Panoz Esperante, Mercedes CLS 500, SL65 AMG, Murcielago, Gallardo , BAR 005 , DB9 et more. BTW I asked a guy at FoQ if they will be getting some F430 and he said in June. And that blue 612 is the only one in Quebec as we speaking. Thx for those pics John, kinda funny scrolling thru and seeing the supercars then seeing the 612, disapointing a little. Did scotti have just the two cars there? Where are the MK & P3? I have to get to MTL soon. Escape this deepfreeze we are in! Ryan
