Facom makes pretty nice tools. I bought a comprehensive tool set with rolling cart without the Ferrari logo from Facom dealer. They are not cheap, but are well made.

Since Beta is now the new official tool supplier to Ferrari, I doubt these will have any collectible value. Buy them if you need a travel set. Do note that the CDX drive will not fit standard 3/8" or 1/2" sockets without an adaptor.

I just purchased a couple pairs of Facom pliers. I like them because they seem to be high strength/light weight and very easy to hold. Mine are just Facom... not the Ferrari edition.

Well . . . I don't know but I'd say no to buying those tools. Craftsman makes a good tool for a lot less and the hand tools carry a replacement garrantee. They make long ones, short ones and all kind of power tools including air compressors and all the air tools you'll ever need. So do Snapon tools, but you have to find a truck the get them replaced.

Collecting tools as collector items is sort of like a red neck investment program. It's on the order of commemorative plates. (Credit to Jeff Foxworthy)

I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but that how I feel about those type of things.

I didn't realize that Home Depot was an SK distributor. If they truly are, then I need to start paying more attention!!!!

You missed out....Costco.com was selling the Facom/Ferrari tool sets from late 03 until spring 04 at tremendous discount. Gone now.

Try a Froogle search..you may find them elsewhere cheaper.

Save your money..If you break out those tools to work on your lawnmower or anything else you'll get laughed of the block. Just buy a good set of Craftsman tools and be happy. Not everything needs to have the Ferrari name on it.

No guarantees, but that Ferrari/Facom set looks to be selling for at least 1/3 cheaper on ebay: http://snipurl.com/c5h8

I think they are owned by same parent company, but are separate divisions with separate foundries. I could be wrong, but when I did the research on Facom before buying my tools that's what I found out.
