What are you removing exactly? To remove just the pressure plate and disc all you need is a 5 or 6mm hex socket..

I removed the little cover with the horse logo on it and under it is a groove nut , Do i have to remove this to get the clutch housing off or does the clutch assambly come off attached to the clutch housing . I want to inspect and repack my flywheel .

    Thanks

Don't remove that nut as of yet. Remove the clutch housing itself and then take it over to the bench as one entire unit. Remove the pressure plate and disc. You will now see the flywheel. Now it the time to remove that nut you see under the "horsie cap". I could not tell you were to get that socket other then from a dealer or Buam tools. I made one myself but I need to make another as mine is getting a little worn out.

Once I get everything apart I want to repack the grease in the flywheel are there any tricks to this ? should i replace the clutch disk at this time worn or not ? what seals should i replace while iam doing this ?

    Thanks Bill .

    Bill,

to remove the 'grooved nut', once you have the clutch housing off and the correct tool as shown by 348PAUL, you will need access to an air driven impact driver (in excess of 150ftlbs/in

I took mine to a local garage who kindly spun the nut off in a few seconds.

I do not believe you can do this with a normal wrench etc.
