    Thank you AFire,
My car is in the middle of valve adjustment. The mechnic metion that the valve seats and the valves are pretty worn since they never been replaced since new. That's why I need shims much thicker than normal sizes. Now my problem is to find these valves seats. please advise ....

If your valves and/or seats are worn, you will need much THINNER shims, not thicker.

BUT, you have to be very careful as if you go too thin the camshaft will actually hit the edge of the bucket and not the shim, which will be a big problem for you.

Also, the valves need to be controlled by their springs, which need to have the correct fitted length. As the valve seats wear the fitted length opens up. making the spring softer and risking valve float or bounce.

Ferrari designed the valve train to operate within a certain range of wear and shimming. You need to remove the heads, and make many measurements to determine if you should replace the valves and seats to preserve the correct shim range/spring length. You will need the workshop manual for the specs.

I have seen many Ferraris with the top ground off the valve stem, to gain more shim adjustment. This makes no allowance for the fitted spring lengths and is a poor engineering practice.

With reference to the valve seats they are no longer available from Ferrari - in most cases (in the UK anyway) the machine shop would supply and fit their seats - and agree with ferrarifixer, worn seats would result in thinner shims.

I need the tool to re-seat the valves and the spacer that goes with it if you have any extras that you wanna sell.
