Alright, get your minds out of the gutter you sick little monkeys!!

Seriously, I was looking through my 355 parts manual last night and came across the page that shows 'Inner Trims Car Colour Codes'.

Grammatical intricacies of the translation aside, it shows under 'Carpet Colour Codes' that code 96 is Castoro, or in English, Beaver.

Anyone have Beaver colored carpets in your 355? What color is it exactly? It's not dark brown since that is code 93, Testa di Moro / Dark Brown. And, uh, do your carpets match your, uh, hides? :)

I believe the beaver code that the manual refers to is for what is commonly known by us as "tan." The matching "tan" leather would be what the manual refers to as "beige."

I noticed this a while ago also and was somewhat amused. :)

When in the fifties the new Ford Thunderbird was introduced, one of the alternative names on the list was...beaver.

Hey Dave, Greg beat you to the punch. I saw the cartoon and thought for sure it would be one of yours.
