Did someone say "family car"? Did someone say exotic? Is someone looking for a reasonable price? It's got to be a Quattroporte! http://www.mobile.de/SIDcxMQPs4YyEcfWXDQ8w9hzg-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11Iindex_cgiJ1106988096A1Iindex_cgiD1100CCarX-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1A1B20B77%81R-t-vCaMkMoSmVb_X_Y_x_y~BSRA6D1100E16600LquattroporteLQUATTROPORTEHinPublicA2A0A0A0/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&top=12&id=11111111143373628&
Wow, thats a deal!!!! What a wonderful great italian family car for a realy resonable prize. I know nothing about Maserati and the prices- but this one seems realy cheap/a deal!?
I think that Maserati do beautiful cars - everything from Meraks, and Ghiblis up to Quattroportes. I've never understood why their prices plummet faster than a Beagle heading to the Mars surface, and why they're so UNDESIRABLE! I wish I didn't have a company car for daily transport so I could get a Maserati as the main set of wheels.
But its such a wonderful car for a realy cool price! Damn......must say I love the car for this cash price.
As I remember, the Biturbos had four main problems: - rust - rust - rust - reliability The first three were just unfortunate and in line with the "Promote Ferric Oxide" campaign of the Italian automobile industry. The fourth I'm convinced was because they were just too cheap and were getting into the hands of people who couldn't afford 'proper' care and maintenance. The later Shamals and late-Ghiblis were fantastic avant-garde cars IMHO. If I carry on like this I'll be talking myself into one! BTW: Ever heard of the company Powergen Italia? Play around with the letter spacing - you'll see what I mean! LOL!

I read somewhere you have a 14K budget for a sportscar. It's much better then any beamer Z3, Z4, Z8 or Znothing......
Everything but never ever a Mercedes! If I want to drive a Mercedes, I just call a cab/taxi! Anja is looking for a convertible. We are also thinkg about a Boxster - for the right price
Wolfgang is looking for a sports-car, not for a taxi... We will arrage a test drive with a Boxster for Wolfgangs wife. Then he has to buy an Porsche! Have a nice Sunday! Bernd
Hey, Wolfgang! Say hello to the sand next time your head is in it! LOL! Taxi drivers don't like MB's anymore since Hubbert decided to build SL, SLK, CLS, McLarens, CLK's etc. and prefer style to reliability! At Munich, you'd more likely end up in a BMW 5'er or Audi A6! OK, OK, I know about the foot-operated parking brake and the agricultural engines, but try and get another high-quality-door-clunk-car for 14000! I´ve to let space between the 1st and 2nd marks. If you take the marks without space the software will make smilies out of them: : ) = ; ) = : D = : rolleyes: = : mad: = : cool: =
But to be honest; does a Boxster counts as a sports car? The Z3 is to me also just a fun-open-driver and not a sports car. ....and just talking during the breakfast with my wife about the Boxster: Z3 - no problem to drive to her job/office Boxster - mhmmmm.....bad mouth talking?! Bernd, you know what I`m talking about? We have had the same discussion on Ferrari. Thats a very good comment from Karl @ carpassion.com about "Neid": (Sorry, its in german language and I just copied a part of it from the Lambo thread.) -----------
@ Wolfgang I don´t know your wife´s business. It depends a lot of it. Exactly the same discussion I had yesterday with my wife - "You really want to buy an Ferrari? Ferrari for me is a car for a prominency, a soccer-star, a night-club-owner..." and so on. No easy way... It will take time to convince my wife. May be, a test drive will change her mind, she really wants to come with me to Ferrari for a test drive with the F430... the first step! In USA they say: "Oh, he drives an Porsche or Ferrari, he must be successfull, make business with this guy!" In Germany they say: "He bought this car from my money!" Sad to say, but it´s true... Bernd
Bernd, yes, its not easy and you have to live with it. Some can - some never can live with it. "to grudge sb. sth." Sadly a real german problem
That's what is sooooo nice about South of France - the neighbours don't really care s**t about what their neighbour's doing. This applies to mowing the grass at 12:05h on a Saturday, to what car he's driving etc. Unfortunately, it also means that they don't notice your car when they're reversing out of their drive or changing lanes on the Motorway but, on balance, I can accept that! As to "sports cars", a quote from the Maestro: ..... and he's the last of the blue blood greaser boys all his mates are doing time married with three kids up by the ring road sold their souls straight down the line and some of them own little sports cars and meet at the tennis club do's for drinks on Sunday, work on Monday they've thrown away their blue suede shoes....... Do you mean sports car or roadster or what? (we did say ~ 14000, right?) Escort Cosworth? Clio V6? Opel Speedster? Lotus Elise? . . . . . . . . . . Mercedes SLK (PS: I do like the Boxster, too! I wouldn't buy a Spartenburger, though)
Drew, yes, the budget is +/- 14K. for a USED convertible fun car. The Lotus Elise is just to die for but a bit too expensive. The Opel Speedster.....too many Opels are in our garage and I think the Opel book is closed now. Renault & Ford - NO! Another option would be to repurchase our old beloved Alfa Romeo 2.0L Fastback, 1979, Red. We have had so much fun with this car (owned it over 10 years). Time enough, we are not in a rush.
Great - so those Renault Spiders and Ford GT40's will be sat on the shelf depreciating and waiting for me! Audi TT?
Lotus Elan? http://www.mobile.de/SIDxS7lEkms2J6KWotwUq0NDw-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11Iindex_cgiJ1107079765A1Iindex_cgiD1100CCarZ-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1B21B20C132x-t-vCaMkVb_X_Y_x_ysO~BSRA6D1100E15900HinPublicA2A0A0A0A0/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&top=21&id=11111111154575806& Lotus Elise http://www.mobile.de/SID6x9vHh3Q0coDk1eJTKLMWw-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11Iindex_cgiJ1107081579A1Iindex_cgiD1100CCarZ-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1B21B20C132x-t-vCaMkVb_X_Y_x_ysO~BSRA6D1100E15900HinPublicA2A0A0A0A0/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&top=36&id=11111111153935128&
