That things tires were coated in wax yesterday, riding it at the moment must be like trying to drive on shear ice. Here are my pics from yesterday: http://supercarfreak.net/gallery/album1085?page=1

I never saw a horse logo on any of the 246s I have run across.

I believe it was probably put there by the owner so everyone who saw it would know that the Dino was made by Ferrari. :)

His name is Alan Levinsky(sp?); he is a buyer for an under-construction auto museum in Mesa, CO, owned by the founder/owner of Discovery TV network.

So, Alan is not perhaps personally a lunatic, but, some may say he works for one........

PS it was suggested that they also had just 'picked up an Enzo' for the museum as well.......maybe that explains Alans attire.......(NNO, get busy on the serial number.......)

Muscle cars that command the "Big Bucks" are low production cars, that 70 SS LS6 Chevelle convertible is one of 17 made. Hemi anything is rare especially in convertibles, 9 months ago a 1971 Hemi Cuda convertible sold for 2.5 Million.

I agree Barret Jacksons is a circus so a lot of ordinary cars are way overpriced and sold, behind the scenes however Muscle cars especially Mopars have been trading BIG bucks for the last 5 years. It's supply and demand like anything else. Muscle cars may not apeal to everyone, but just think for 3,500 bucks in 1970 you could go into any local showroom and pick up a 450 HP convertible and tear it up, 35 years later you could be sitting on a cool 2 million. You didn't have to be rich to buy these cars new, unlike Ferrari's and other exotics, and for that reason they will always be collectible.

Truly, ridiculos. I don't understand why someone would pay tons of cash for something that is for show, and not for something that is a performance, luxury, and Italian spirit!

It' simply about being seen. Even with the Ferrari community, I doubt if more than 20% actually know something about the cars. Obnoxious, trendy and pretentious is the way to be if you want attention...and that's all most of these people care about.
