Need a little help pls

Not sure if this forum has to be Ferrari specific, but if not i have a question regarding my X5, Its a 4.8is and i hate the door mirrors and wanted to change them and i wanted to use the M5 door mirrors BUT i have called BMW and been to my dealer and they are no help.
My question is, is the only way to find out if this can be done ,is to buy a set and hope they fit and if not hope the dealer takes them back!

One other thought is anybody know or ever seen an X5 with M5 mirrors?
I did see what looked like M5 mirrors on one of the Paris-Dakar X5's but cant find a picture.

Any help would be great, thanks for your time.

I did check out a few BMW tunner web-sites but nothing as yet.

also found this picture. dont like the bar and red steering wheel but the mirrors dont look to bad?
but i want electric folding ones they dont look as if the do.
