FWIW, my car was not in inventory. Give Chris the specs of what you want and let him track it down. These cars aren't built in huge numbers so finding one in the color(s) and options you want might take some time. I know it's tough to have patience but I guarantee you, it'll be worth it.

    Yourk,

Your best bet is to call FoCNJ and find out the operating hours. As for experience with them all I can say is that it has been the only dealership that has shown me love and respect. Went hunting for a F-car a couple of months ago and it was FoCNJ that got me what I wanted. If you are dead serious about getting a Ferrari I recommend them without hestitation.

    PJH,

I just read this thread and I have to say that your response was an attack on FoCNJ. I am one of the people that got not ONE but TWO cars from them and none were in inventory. I think you could have responded in a better manner than just whipping out "THEY SUCK". Maybe you didn't realize it when you were typing but whatever the case it insulted me. That's my dealership and they are like family. You should know getting a Ferrari to your spec takes time and like Emil said "This is not a Ford". Sure Chris can find a car that's ready to breakdown and sell it to you but that's not him. The search takes time and trust me I've dealt with brokers and other dealers giving me the run around before I went to FoCNJ. Please think about this before you decide to post in another thread about how FoCNJ is.

    -John

I think what he's trying to say is that it's nice to be able to go to a dealership and see a bunch of cars on the floor. I can definitely understand that desire.

At the same time, everyone else is right. People can spend months (for new cars) if not years (for older cars) looking for the right one. the right car is out there somewhere, it just may take time to materialize.

Keep in mind, it's also a new dealership, so there's no reason to expect them to have dozens of trade-ins lying around. I'm sure their inventory will build over time. Your desire to walk in and see a bunch for sale is understandable, in my opinion. Just give them time, and give the Ferrari search process time, because that's what it takes.

You requested direct dealer experience specifically with FCNJ, so the following applies. I look through these threads at times to see if there is any topic that interests me, collecting, technical, most of the Tri-State threads do not really apply to me, this does. I had been looking on and off for a Daytona, unsuccessfully, after meeting a collector with a 360, my wife suggested ordering a new car, made to my personnel taste, as he did.
So I started pursuing that possibility and found the realities of ordering a F430 were going to be impossible to execute quickly. Even given my ability to purchase from dealers in 3 states, with 2 dealers in Florida to choose from.
While I spend much time in New Jersey, I stopped in to Ferrari of CNJ, just after it’s opening. I spoke with Chris Miele on a Saturday ( it was fairly busy) I briefly told him my thoughts. He was very clear … there was no true data available for ordering at that time. Not knowing Chris personally, I verified this with Ferrari, prior to this however, there were other dealers willing to take a deposit, without knowing if they could actually deliver!!. When I get an itch, I tend to scratch it, so, I stopped in mid week. Chris and I speculated on time and cost. I was clear, I would not hold him to any speculation on his part, with that understood, I had some decisions to make. So I decided to consider a 360 in the mean time, but it had to be Rosso Corsa. There were 5 or 6 cars in the showroom at that time, no red Berlinettas. I stopped in now and then and each time the inventory changed, however still no Red. Time went by, I received an e-mail, Chris said he believed he had something coming in that fit my preferences. By the time I went to view the car we discussed, a PERFECT F355B in Rosso Corsa was taken on a trade. Now there were 2 cars I really liked in stock. It took 2 days to decide, with cost not being the issue - F1 or manual. I purchased the immaculate 3500 mile 355. So, visiting a dealership frequently may yield an awesome car you did not originally consider.
Additionally…. Upon taking delivery, there were some things we both missed ..tool tray ….tools …..little things misplaced by the original owner. ..as most know, impossible to find and replace. I e-mailed Chris, ( yes.. also while he was in Hawaii on vacation), he forwarded the problems to Ralph in service, I was contacted immediately and between Ralph and Chip in the parts department, every missing part was located and replaced…assolutamente perfezionare!!!
I have spent more on an automobile and did get close to the customer care prior and post sale and prompt attention to detail than I have received with this entire group of sincere professionals.
So, my point is this, if you have the Ferrari itch, be patient, give a professional time to do his or her job. Then be ready to belly up to the bar and pay your tab. Because chat will not put a quality ride in your garage.

Hope this helps and wraps this thread up.
