    Took the 456 GT on a 250 mile trip yesterday. The car performed well with one exception. Every so often it would feel like it was running through some mild resistance, almost like a slight pulling sensation. I don't beleive there was much wind on the highway so that should not have been a cause. The engine sounds fine, no warning lights, no power loss, and the tach did not jump. It did this in both 5 and 6th gear with rpm's of 3000-3500. Only other thing is there seemed to be a very slightly delay in acceleration when the accelerator was depressed with a bit of authority. Any suggestions as to a potential cause? Thanks.

    I drove the 456 GT again yesterday and there was no issue with the accelerator. Any suggestions on what could be causing the "Pulling" sensation ?

    My quess, and this is only a quess, is that you are experiencing some type of lag with the injectors so that it is acting a little bit like a turbo.

    Then again, what do I know?

    It sounds to me like it's running poorly. Have you seen any check engine lights? An oxygen sensor can cause this sort of thing, although I believe you should get a check engine light.

    I know this sounds crazy but I throw it out there - the gas pedal and the brake are very close together (at least on my 456M they are), if you are wearing the ubiquitous size 15 'Merican sneaker, its possible that your foot was touching the brake pedal. I wear a size 10 1/2 and if my foot is squarely on the gas pedal, I can catch the edge of the brake pedal with the left side of a pair of Nikes. No problem with track shoes or moccasins though.

    Very true, the pedals in the 456 GT are very close and you do need to be very careful not to catch the edge of the brake pedal when you are accelerating. In this case, I don't believe that was what was happening as I was wearing size 10 driving shoes. These shoes do fit like a glove.
