On my way pass Lancaster Gate this morning I passed a Ferrari waiting to go through Hyde Park. It looked like a 550 that had been to the gym. Red bodywork had scoops and spoilers everywhere with a massive white rear wing. Couldn't spot a number plate on the front. Looked much larger that a standard 550 or 575. Awesome, what is it? a GT car?
Will be a 550 with the GT bodywork ie same as prodrive. Car been in Evo recently. Think conversion is 550 + £80k.

There's a highly modified 550 for sale at Eurocars in Stoke Poges (Bucks) right now which seems to fit your description. It looks awesome and to me it appears a direct derivative of the Prodrive Le Mans car . It also has a price on the screen of...wait for it...£172,000 !!!!!
Sounds like the 550 LM which was featured in thre Top Gear magazine a month or so back. A monster over 200 MPH.
To be fair, although 172K (or a 550 +80K) is a lot of money, the real Pro-Drive racecars were, from memory, sold to privateers for about 600K and I believe the current 575GTC racecar can also be bought (can't remember whether from factory or 3rd party like Pro-Drive) for 770K, or over a million euros. On that basis, a reasonably close replica with possibly 85 percent of the performance but maybe 200-300kg heavier, is frankly, quite a bargain at that price. Not sure what class it would have to be in for competition, but an awesome track car, I bet - and still road legal. Pretty much a 550 CS ! J.

I had a look at it at the NEC show - looked a right big girls blouse to me. In a month of Sundays will that thing ever do a lap-time within 85% of the real thing. No wonder Ferrari won't allow them the Ferrari name on it. And all that for an extra 80 grand! So, 60 for a 550, plus 80 is 140: for that, get a nicely depreciated 360CS and a 355 Spider for the sunny bits. I can't quite remember, but I think Autocar mag said they were hoping to sell 80 of the wretched things.....dream on.

No mate it is the Sbarro 550, only 3 ever made 1 was destroyed in a crash, 1 is in the UK and the other i dont know.
The 550LM is the same one featured in EVO and other magazines (I think) a few months back. It looks like a 550 LM racer in red with a huge black rear wing. The magazine test car plate was T---KDD and it has been posted as spotted on here before IIRC! I can't seem to find the Euro Sports Cars site, but they are the place who import and sell Pagani Zondas as well!
