The XBOX PGR 2 thread

I guess it comes with the territory. At least those made it to a computer shop near you. In the past I have been waiting for games that never made it past the hype stage: Skip Barber Racing School planned a sim and then there were some brothers who had the ultimate GT racing game in the works, released new pictures every few months. Never materialized.

Since 02 I have been waiting for a new F1 sim. Maybe there will be one this year and maybe not. I'm not holding my breath anymore.

I just went to EBGames and they said Forza was delayed til May 4th. My brother pre-ordered GT4. I was deciding on Toca racing or whatever or Collin Mcray's rally 2005. in the end i got the rally one./
anyone else got it?

 

TOCA rules! I love toca, but the ralley one isnt bad ethier. I have only rented Colin Mcrays tis a good game though. I would have taken Colin Mcrays over TOCA

 

7:54 on the ring in the carrera GT woot woot

 

I just drove the CGT on the ring for the first time, it feels like it is underpowered. The enzo walks away from it in a straight line, although the CGT is a little more predictable if things get sketchy.

 

I got under 7 minutes with the Porsche CGT. Thats probably my favorite car in the ultimate class.

 

yarg, I cant wait till the end of the month. Ill get loads of cash so I can renew my live subscription...

Got my Ring time down to 6:39 last night in the Carrera GT. I think I ruined my controller because the acceleration button doesnt work very well. I only bought the controller four months ago. I may have dropped it a few times but nothing major... but it has had some heavy game usage. Especially during Christmas break. Yarr this pisses me off

 

I'm on my fourth wheel right now. These things just don't last very long. Either a button breaks or metal fatigue in the pedals sets in. Par for the course.

 

Dam you guys mess you your controllers and wheels fast. I still have my wheel and controller since the day i got my XBox which was back in the summer of 2002.

Im looking into a new Xbox though i need a replacment fast!.

 

I have 6 controllers, 3 have one small flaw and the rest are all fine.

3 Dukes, one with messed up trigger, one with messed up A button, and one that works

2 S's, one with a dead right thumbstick (I can play anything but Halo with it)

1 mini-wheel

1 Gamester pistol grip thing

 

On the PC I'm normally replacing a wheel/pedal combo after one season. The pedals tend to be the weakest link just as with the XBox setups.

I'm probably a bit extreme, racing sims is all I play and I play them religiously. Heck I rack up more virtual miles than real ones per year.

 

MOMO Force. Very high quality. Owned for 2 years, no problems at all. I drive a lot and I drive hard as well.

 

I agree. I installed the same wheel a year ago and this winter for the first time in five years I didn't have to replace. Your statement lets me hope it'll be good for another season at least.

 

Damned! That is an excellent score. You've improved way faster than I did when I first started playing (a LONG time ago). For comparison, I had to run it once, and just got a 6:38. Good job!

Next week I get Friday, Saterday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off because of mid-winter break. So i'll be on alot.

Tommarow I have a friend coming over night so ill be on all night probly so anyone who wants to play PGR2, Halo or Ghost Recon can join if you want.

 

Has anyone heard about that new racing game "Enthusia: Profesional Racing"? or somthing like that.

I just bought toca2 and it came with colin mcrae 2004 so woohoo two games for $29 at EB. I also pre-ordered forza which will be out may 4th(as of 2-11-05).

I'll be on this weekend. I got some friend request I'm assuming from guys of this board, so if it was you let me know.

 

damn I need to get my X-Box repaired. My friend spilled a quarter of a can of coke on it and it like stopped working. Anyone know wheather this can be fixed? or do I have to go and buy a completely new one?
