My passenger seat will not move forward, back, etc and it is in a position such that I can't get to the rear bolts. Is there a manual overide for the seat such that I can move it forward? or a way to get the bolts out?

    Help is appreciated

If it is like the 550, I doubt it.
Did you check the fuses first ?

The fuse at the motor seems to be OK. I'm concerned the contol box under the dseat may be faulty. Fortunately, it boke in the right position so I can live with it if I have to

    Hello,
I'm currently parting out an 456. The passenger seat is ok, and as my memory is ok I think there is a fuse under the seat Have you cheked this one? I will see tomorrow what I can see under my removed seat. If you need parts to replace your faulty parts contact me.
    Best Regards,

I really love 456's, but with so many quality issues I'm worried I won't ever want to buy one. Which is sad, because I really like the styling and the interior. But I wouldn't put up with the many malfunctions I keep hearing about and reading about.

I have recently had the same problem with my passenger seat.

It was stuck in the rear position.

I took it to FOH and they said the motor was out.

    New cost $1000.

    What about used parts?

If it's like most cars (including my 355 spider, Corvette, Durango, etc) then there is an electrical connection to the seat motor under the seat. If you can figure out which two wires go to the motor, you can manually connect 12-volts to them to move the seat. Connecting them in one polarity moves the seat one direction. Connecting them in the opposite polarity reverses the direction.

If you connect 12VDC directly to the motor and get no response, that pretty much tells you the motor is dead, in which case I'm not sure how to get the seat to move to expose the other bolts.

That is the method I have had to use in the past.
