Also check out Stebro (www.stebro.net) though you'll have to call them since they don't show it on their website. They call it a "Euro Resonator" since it is actually not just a harsh straight-through pipe but has spun steel wool in a small expansion chamber resulting in a deeper growl than a straight pipe.

I got mine through Durable 1 - a terrific, quality piece. However, the next 'hard part' isn't the pipe itself, its the two 'sensors' that thread into the unit - O2 sensor, and the temp sensor. O2 is made by Bosch, and can be sourced anywhere for roughly $150. The Temp Sensor, however, is Ferrari OEM and quite fragile, from those I've talked to (I haven't removed mine yet). Should you break or damage the thing, its roughly $550-$800 to replace if you can find one.

Oh, and the mounting hardware is extremely difficult to source. Sure the nut and bolt are standard metric, but the sleeves and springs are Ferrari OEM and everyone seems to be out of them. This is a high-temp area, so your stock hardware is probably shot if its older than 10 years. Norwoods had replacement hardware, but as of last month, they were all out of exhaust bolt kits. Stay tuned, I'm trying to fit my pipe this month and may have more info later.

Mine came from Stebro about 5 years ago. I had no problems with it or them.

I reused the hardware when I removed the cats and installed Kermit's test pipes on my 78 308 GTS, no problems. Just soak it good with WD40 or something first.

When I installed the Tubi exhaust on my 87 328 GTS, again, I reused all the hardware and clamps with no problems whatsoever. The stuff may look cruddy and rusty, but it IS durable.... While it will look a lot nicer to replace the hardware, I don't beleive this is necessary.

Be sure and talk to him personally about what you need, and comfirm that he will provide the proper O2 sensor fitting on the pipe.

84 QV should be the single cat, large tube design.

You are correct. 84 and 85 are the same. The 83 and earlier had 2.

Do not do business with Dan fron stebro. You will never get your pipes. Just go through the old threads about stebro and the people he has ripped off. He may have done good by some ,but think about the people that he has ripped off!!! Just because he has treated some clients fine, does not make it right. He has held my money now for over six months without a delivery or a refund!! I would hope that Ferrari owners would stand behind the people that has been ripped off by Dan.,and not do business with Dan or Stebro

Duarable 1 ripped me off for over $3500 in cash and $10,000 in Parts. (2 qv heads destroyed). Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't support him as well.

Whether you order from Stebro or ANYONE else, pay via credit card... if no delivery, no obligation for payment. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex all stand behind you on that.
