While taking the Daytona on a drive up to Downieville recently, something bounced up from the road, hit the thin strip of metal between the headlight pod and grill, and broke the metal strip. That's what I get for driving the damn thing - maybe I should keep it in the garage :)

The metal strip will need to be welded back in place, new filler added, and paint matched. I wouldn't think it should be a big deal, but I want it done right. Anyone have a favorite body guy thats good with the old cars (and charges reasonable rates!)? My preference would be in the Sacto area, but South bay area and peninsula would work, too.

I knew Dayal is the man for mechanical repair. Didn't know he did bodywork, too. Thanks!

A quality shop. Brian has worked on many cars worth in the millions ( one i saw last summer was the original 250 GTO prototype) and takes the same care with everyone. He is worth a call.

There are really only two options for body work in the bay area:

Tom Dillard @ Campbell Auto Restoration and Brian Hoyt @ Perfect Reflections.

Thanks, guys, for all the suggestions! So no one has a recommendation for any shops in Sac? Mainly curious - the bay area will work for me, too. I'm down here every week.

James Paulk in Stockton...he has dealt with my Testarossa a few times and also does a lot of work Alex Spanos. Really does well with custom work. And be sure to let him know if you aren't using insurance and he will work with you.

I'm sure that one of the Stockton bunch would help you with transportation!
