Hi Guys I am moving out to Sydney to go to the university of New South Wales. I have been fairly active at Fchat meets back home on England and was wondering if there are any Fchatters/Ferrari owners in the Sydney area. Are there any car meets or events that I should try and get to? I always love to see nice cars and would like to meet some like minded enthusiasts! Cheers Ben Hobson
Hi Ben and welcome to Sydney(not sure if your here yet but anyway)Here are a few Italian car events that may be of interest to you.AUTO ITALIA is a annual Italian car and motorbike show that will be held on the 13/3/05.The only downside is that it"s in Canberra the nations capital which is about 300Kms south of Sydney. You could catch a train or coach or if you have a car its about a 3 hour drive. The next event is the Alfa/Fiat/Lancia concours show which is on the 31/7/05 and that is in Sydney in the suburb of Sydnam. Its about a 20 min.drive from NSWuni. Then there is the Ferrari concours day and thats on the 28/8/05.Again its in Sydney in the suburb of Hunters Hill which is about 25mins from the uni.I dont think I will be going to Canberra this year as the GT4 is in the workshop but then again I might take the Maserati for a stretch, but will more than likely go to the Alfa show and the Ferrari concours. As the dates get closer I will post info.Hope this helps
Hey there Mate. Basically all the events have been outlined above. And there is nothing much more than that. We mainly focus on V8 related shin digs down here. Uni of NSW ay? Pretty close to mostly anything. Pretty good location there. Keep an eye out for a Black 355 GTS that hovers around "Kensington", which is actually the suburb the Uni is in, that thing is nice..... Enjoy your stay here bud!
Will definitely look out for the Ferrari concours day, theta sounds very very cool!! Hopefully see some of you guys out there when I fly out in July
Are there many 355s and nice cars generally in Sydney? I would like to spot a few in the wild when I am out in Oz as well as at meets!
cruise the north shore and eastern suburbs for the best chances but just keep the eyes peeled, there are plenty there but not a lot come out to play.
