I have rounded a bleed screw while changing brake fluid. Can anyone suggest where to find replacements? This would be for a 1985 308.

If you're refering to the bleed screw on the thermostat housing you should be able to pick it up from your local Ferrari dealer. It's just a short brass bolt - Ferrari part number 16042940 - cost $1. If you're really stuck we can post one to you, but the postal costs will more than likely exceed the cost of the bleed screw!

Edit - Ooops wrong bleed screw !!!

Try a Porsche dealer or an aftermarket Porsche site (the ATE brake calipers were used on 308 and 914)

Check out SpeedBleeder on line. I put their product on my 308 and am happy with them so far. Front and rear bleeders were different sizes. Just tell them what you are doing, they were very helpful to me.

The Russel's are carried at many of the auto "speed shops", and that size comes in (3) lenghts. If you can use the longer one, that will hold your bleeder hose on secure. (I just replaced the same size on my Pantera calipers and they are excellent!). I think they were about $9 for a pair from Barnett Performance in Atlanta. (pn RUS639620). 404-522-1320, free shipping.

The pics are @ http://www.speedbleeder.com/size.htm which are the people who make them.

I forget what size the 308 takes but the front ones were larger than the rear. I'm pretty sure I paid $7 a pair from Speed Bleeder.
