Lurkers -- come out and play

Hello all. This is my very 1st post here on F-Chat. I have enjoyed checking out all of the great pics in the showroom and have learned a lotby reading the other forums. All of you owners out there keep giving me the drive to keep going and realize the dream of F-car ownership! Also, I must say that I just can't get enough of that cool cat, Kitty Fishsticks. (He must get all the chicks from the bikini thread!)

You know what the reason is for lurkers to be expelled from Telaio. And I'm sure you had the chance to "unlurk" yourself. Anyway, I'm sure that F-Chat is more suited for your needs in our mutual hobby named Ferrari.

Hi everyone.

It's my first post here. My name's Ilya and I live in Nottingham, UK. I love Ferraris more than anything else, and want to learn more about them. My ultimate dream car would be a 330 P4, but as that's never going to happen, I wouldn't mind owning a 355 some time.

 

This is my first post here on ferrarichat.com, I am only 15 years old and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Due to my age I obviously do not own an f-car nor do I drive at all but I am a huge fan of ferrari`s. Actually I am a big fan of automobiles in general. Because of my inablitly to drive I am forced to resort to different methods to fuel my passion for cars. I am an avid collector of 1/18 scale diecast cars. My collection is now at around 175 cars and about 125 of those are in box. The sports car of choice right now is a 1996 mustang gt convertible because my father owns one. We are both convincing my mom to let him buy a used ferrari but it isn`t going well. We like the 308gts and are looking to purchase one in the future. We like this car due to its moderate price but it still has a lot of go. I am also very interested in editing car videos. If anyone has videos of their f-cars that they wanted edited feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I cant exactly guarentee a great product because I am new at it but I try.

 

Hi ! My name's Iskandar and bought my first Ferrari in January, a 355 Berlinetta. Have always dreamed of owning one and prior to purchase had a look into the pros and cons of 355 ownership via F-chat, invaluable in terms of advices and what-to-look-out-fors. The term 'lurker' applied then and I try to contribute my viewpoints I see fit to give now. Ferrarichat is now my stress relief after long hours looking at drawings/meetings...sometimes I even snuck a peek during office hours, just to check on what's happening...Thanks F-chatters!

41 yo life insurance underwriter for a global reinsurer. I have a wife and a 9 son (he's into f1 as well). i was born in british west indies, road around in minis etc dad had a morris minor and a ford cortina mk2. f1 one nut since 9 also WRC and sport cars fan. been going to montreal for GP since 93.

i have a c32 amg, a 2003 honda s2000 and rare 95 3000gt vr4 spyder. last sat i was finally able to drive a ferrari - 1995 f355, 6 spd. and now i get it. the damn thing was alive. music sweet tubi music. i'm totally smitten. i will move one or two of my vehicles out and try to get a 355gts. i do have a few questions but will post separately.

It’s his daily Driver, and Tracks it every chance he gets. He could get
about any car he wants, but he loves the 944T to much to part with it.

I've been lurking here for a while and check the forum almost everyday. Needless to say, I love Ferraris and have been a fan since high-school (I'm 34 years old now). I try to get my hands on as much Ferrari videos and photos as possible from here and other sites (mostly 308, 355, 360, F430, F40, and Enzo) and still can't help from drooling everytime I see them. I am currently living in Korea and unfortunately don't get to see many F-cars as I used to when I was in the US, so I am very grateful to have found this site to quench my thirst (lust?) for Ferraris

The videos and photos are as close as I will ever get to owning an F-car, unless I get a windfall and hit our country's lottery jackpot...(please, God, please....) But if I had the dough now, I would get myself a 360 Spider and a F430, both red/tan.

Anyways, I love this site and keep up the good work (don't forget to load it with photos!!! click, click, click)

My name is Tim Lewis. I don't own a Ferrari either, but, I have hands on experience ( hey, I helped push the rolling chassis onto the hauler) with a certain red Ferrari that resides in NY.
My experience is mostly associated with Mr.G's Lola, as I worked for a life long friend who put this car on the road. The car is well documented as is the building process.
The one thing I can say about being involved with a man of Jim Glickenhaus's stature is you get to see some of the finer things in life. His collection of fine and rare autos is truly a thing of beauty. Equal only to his knowledge and affection for each one.
The 1 pic is of the main people responsible for getting the project completed.
The other is of my eldest son, who at THAT moment was experiencing something equal to or better that sex. I got to ride in the car, (and at 140mph telephone poles do look like a picket fence) but he got to drive it onto the trailer.
I hope I haven't gotten off topic here but I am a "lurker" and I do have experience with older exotic autos.

ok I admit it..Im a lurker too. My name is Chris 33yr old here in the small city of Cornwall Ont. I have been reading this forum for along time dont post much as I dont think as a non owner I have much to say. my last post must be over a year now. Anyway I luv exotic cars. Hope to have the infamous love hate relationship of owning a Ferrari one day...Right now I just have an old Porsche 924 that I have been driving and fixing up, and doing pretty good with it too its taught me alot. Anyone have a basket case Ferrari they want to unload cheap?? lol (thats how I obtained the Porsche lol )

I'm a lurker to, Kieran from near Edinburgh in Scotland, always had a passion for Ferrari's as probably everyone else here. Find the site fantastic for amazing pictures and realistic comments about real life running / experiences. Will never forget when I had my mk1 MR2 I was in a club and they somehow managed to arrange a trip to look round the local ferrari dealer where in addition to drooling over the cars in the showroom very kindly let us look around their workships where two F40's were in the middle of getting serviced. Also the dealership organises a track day once a year which I never miss.

My name is Pete and I've been periodically browsing here every now and then, so I figured I would finally give in and sign up. Anyway, a little more about me... I live in North Carolina. I'm only 18 ::tugs collar, shifts nervously:: but damnit if I haven't spent all 18 years of my life lovin' some Ferraris. I've been up close to Ferraris (including my favorite--the Testarossa!), but I've never driven one, rode in one, or even sat in one! Sad, I know. But, one day I'll sweet-talk some Ferrari owner to a nice sit in the driver's seat... and maybe a ride. But, I do have a car! I drive an '88 BMW 325is, and I love it to death. It has like a million miles on it, but--thanks to my ability to use tools--runs like a champ! I try to autocross whenever I can, but since I'm a student at ECU its kinda tough. Anyway, I'll let you guys know the day I sit/ride/drive a Ferrari. Maybe I could get some help with that here...
