Fantastic, thanks for posting. Shame to see that it is no longer in it's correct racing colour scheme.
The first picture I have seen of # 90001 at Michelotto. Any more photo's of it?

    IMO # 90001, # 82404 and # 74045 are the ultimate racing F40's

at our visit at michelotto we´ve been asked not to make pictures inside the place. mr. michelotto showed us around and was very kind - but NO PICS. finally he agreed to put 90001 outside the garage and we took some pics.
i think i had to show one pic to f-chatters but i have to ask for your understanding, that in this special case a dont post more or send high-res. pics.

Howdy, you're right, this is my LM at No Prolem raceway in New Orleans. The car is now in Vegas for the Scuderia Rampage event and will stay there for the opening of the Penske/Winn Ferrari dealership.
It's also the car in the Mothers Waxes TV commercial.
Thanks for posting that good picture, I put her in my file, great shot
    Thanks.

Roland's F40LM = Street F40 then "Linder Modified" therefore Roland's "LM", like Roland, it is a one of a kind!

I always thought this car should be called the Phoenix, Roland certainly had a vision on this car and he made it happen, I have always thought that Roland should promote that it is NOT an LM, but a one of a kind car he created with his experience and talent.

I wish Roland would be more forthcoming promting his talent regarding taking a street F40 and making it of his own design, since this car has very few LM parts and very little resemblance to an actual LM, it should a F40 L = F40 Linder.

This Ferrari will be here long after Roland and the rest of us pass away, it should be known as the F40 "Linder", since Roland was the creator. Like other "unique" Ferrari's is should be identified by the person that made it unique.

This car is more unique than an LM. I would not be surprised if Roland's F40 would compete very well against an actual LM from Maranello. Anybody with the money can buy an LM, very few people can design and build a competive car and improve on Ferrari's design.

I have always felt it was wrong to call this car an LM, it is not an LM and everyone knows it. Roland, I think you do yourself a disservice, you are an excellent driver, an EXCELLENT builder, and one of my best friends, I think you should take more credit on this car and stop calling it an LM, it should be a F40 L = Linder.

This is the same as a Roush Mustang, a Saleen Mustang, a Ligenfelter Corvette etc.

Why put someone else's name on a car you modified and built?

There may be other F40 owners that want to make the kind of changes you made to your car but are unaware that you took a street F40 and modified it, you may have a business opportunity you are not taking advantage of!

Thanks for the kind words and if the car is called an LM it's because we worked from the LM blue prints(Michelotto). I can't take credit for the LM parts on the car..I bought a bunch of parts from several team who were racing the LM. For the other, well, new one were made from pics etc..Remenber that all LM started from stock F40.
I would agree with you about many details who are more from my experience in cars. Many parts are from P.cars, pumps, relays, gauges, pedals from Indy, Garett turbo etc...That doesn't give me the right the call that a "Linder"...We still have more LM parts than any other but like any "builder" we have our own idea what works or not and that's the road I took. Many parts are better today than they were in 1990 so the intercoolers, radiators are US made and function better that the original. That still doesn't make me a builder. I was looking to get a reliable/drivable car and I got without any repair so far !!!Not many F40 drivers have done what that car has done for me.
Over the racing years behind me, I had plenty modified P cars(and did Le Mans with them) but they are still P cars. That's what every team does!
I always liked your" LinderModificata" name, it's plenty cool.
    Thanks Chris, see you soon

    Roland,

Thankfully I get to disagree with you! This car has parentage that is unmistakable, you created an incredible car, the source of the parts may have come from many different manufacturers and it may have been "inspired" by an LM, but it is a F40 "L". I truly believe the legacy of this car will be inspired by you and this car will ultimatly been known as the F40 Linder, to refer to it in any other way would be a discredit to you.

Just as with 0846, James will be the most significant name associated with that car, Linder will be the name astreked next to your serial number....

From now on, I think it should be the F40 "L"..... or F40 "Linder Modificata"

With sincerest respect, this car is unique to you and your vision, regardless of the origin of the parts...
