lol... is that the one where he is sitting at the stop light and everything goes nuts on his car? Windows, doors, sun roof?
Just flipping through the channels and caught a red Series 1 330 GT 2+2 in a movie called Double Bang starring William Baldwin on ActionMax.
I was watching the Fablous life of Tom Cruise on Vh1 earlier and there was a seen of him running away from what looked like to be a 275 gtb or 250 GTO, it was so fast i couldnt tell. Maybe someone has seen this movie before.
The 355 in The Rock was a kit - and an automatic at that. I know the guys who built it. When it gets crunched, the body breaks away from the frame and you can see the Fiero running gear. If you notice the in-car shots of the chase scenes, Nick is driving a stick and it "sounds" right. I heard that being the car nut that he is, he used his own car for the driving sequences. I can't substantiate that fact, however. It does make for a good story though! What was Elvis driving in that movie where he was the rich kid that traded places with the not-so-rich guy? I have not seen this in 20 some odd years and always thought it was a TR. Jim
Not to pick on you, but where? I have watched that movie about five times by now (and loved every second of it), but IMHO Travolta is never near a Ferrari. He drives some Jag or something, but not a Ferrari. PS: Was happy to see a 250 GTO in the HBO movie about Peter Sellers.
Holy crap...! i've seen most of that movie and never saw a GTO...!!! i only saw an old Jaguar... Yeah, the car Travolta drives in Swordfish is a TVR; maybe Faisal can tell us more about it... There's a Dino 246 GTS in Agent Cody Banks, but i can't get my DVD player to work right, so that rental was a waste... There also seems to be a yellow 355 in Die Another Day, but i haven't watched it yet...
The GTO in the Sellers flick is only there for a few seconds, but it is a brilliant scene as all the exotic cars turn into sexy women. Freud was right all along... The Cody Banks 246 shows up nicely. However the movie is so bad your rental would be a waste regardless. The yellow 355 in Die another day reaches terminal velocity while being tossed out of a plane. Pretty neato. I saw a preview for some rap themed movie called "Be cool" or similar. Starred a 360.
Indeed. You're quite right, thanks. It's there for only a couple of seconds, but yes. I mistook it for a Boxster. I seem to have a hard time distinguishing them when they're in dark shots in the background. Just like the cars in "From craddle 2 the grave" parked in the garage.
It was a TVR Tuscan that was in Swordfish. Very pretty car, they sound wonderful, but reliability was never the strong point. TVR have just released a new version of the Tuscan, hopefully it'll be better. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got a good ferrari fix last weekend Bad Boys 2 was on (watched the chase scene with the sound cranked!) Bev. hills Cop 2 was on and Muenster go home was on. I'm still waiting to see The Hidden. I saw part of a movie a while back that Roseanne was in and it had a black 308 in it. Anyone familiar with this?
Andreas, Your list is awesome...just one thing. I seem to remember that Sabrina featured a 355 Spider, not a 348...maybe I'm wrong, since I'm doing this from memory. I think it was red and had a glorious sound! Forgive me if I have erred. Andrew
