    I've always wondered...

for someone who claims to run a web design company you seem to have a very *cough* simple * cough* website...

The pictures look like they were taken from another website.

Have any of you Ferrari owners ever had that very stressing, and quite embarrassing I must say, experience of your F-Car overheating while in traffic?

Is this something the older cars had trouble with or have modern models like the 360, 575 had similiar experiences?

Cornelius, pay no attention to the folks who tell you not to obsess over Ferraris day and night... If that's what keeps you going, then good for you... When all else fails and life seems like a total waste of time and you don't have a girlfriend and nothing else drives you crazy like a Ferrari, then think about it all you want... You'll get there... i hope it happens, soon... Just work hard and be true to yourself and you'll get it all...

    Hello:

I live and work in Los Angeles. No matter where or when - if you live in LA you will get stuck in traffic (3 to 6 AM coming back from a friend's house, party, club, ... even on a weeknight there is a possibility of a traffic). I've had F-cars in LA traffic all the time - never overheated.

BTW: I got my first F-car when I was twenty-something - IMHO find out what you enjoy, create a career, always think/focus/work like the only thing in your future is what you are currently involved with until all options are exhausted. There is a chance you will suceed.

I am currently 22 years old (23 in march).

Growing up, I had social anxiety disorder. One on one, I was cool (just as long as it was professional). Two or more people, and I was screwed. I'd break down. Nervous, sweaty, couldn't talk, the works. I couldn't be in a crowded area, like a mall or even a gas station convenience store. It was bad. Girls? Ha! I was nervous around my best friends.

I tried several extra-cirricular activities. Basketball-quit within a month. Tae Kwon Do-quit within 3. Boy scouts-4. I couldn't handle the stress of thinking that everyone was scrutinizing me, even if nobody was.

Then in 2000, after a really bad time in my life, I took up weightlifting. Somehow I found the balls to walk into a busy gym full of people far more advanced than I. I kept going, kept pushing and pushing.

Then one day I woke up, looked in the mirror, and all I could say was "holy crap"

Then came the comments. "Damn, you're stacked!" "C'mon, flex those guns"
    "That's a nice six-pack" "You're friggin huge"

In that light, I realized several things:

    1) As mentioned before, accomplishment. Challenge yourself. What's that thing you've always wanted to try, but were too afraid to do so? Find it and stick with it.

    2) LIVE LIFE. Go out. Try new things. I'm not saying you should get wasted every night, but get off your ass and go do stuff.

    3) Once that fear is gone, you won't be afraid to talk that girl at the bar. You won't be afraid to take a few risks in that road to success. Most importantly, you just won't be afraid. I can tell you, it's liberating.

Sure, you'll still love Ferraris, but it will no longer be the lifeline.

    Good luck.

Great testimonial - thanks for sharing. I hope he gets the message.

Whenever I start to worry what other people think, I remember that millions of people bought Ford Pintos and Firestone 500 tires. Richard M Nixon was elected by a huge margin. (It seemed like a good idea at the time.)

There was a time when everyone knew that the Earth was flat, a time when everyone knew that man would never walk on the Moon.

What other people think ... has a lousy track record.

The question is what do you think? Your conscience is a pretty good judge, if you'll listen to it.

The Information Age, not the In Formation Age.

heh, when you realize that 99% of the people you pass on the street are the kind of people you specifically don't care about or want to be associated with, it makes it easier to a) do what you want regardless of useless opinions, and b) NOT do stuff that you would do mostly for the opinions of others.

this poor cornelius character is unfortunately caught up in the world of option b, his motives appear to be based on affecting other people rather than affecting himself.

i've known many people like that, and they are tiresome. they don't do stuff because they want to do it, they do it because they think it'll have an effect on me or someone else. get over it.

    1) Join the Ferrari Club, coming here was a good 1st step

    2) Buy a lot of books or read up on Ferrari history

    3) after you join the FCA go to events & find see the cars & talk to owners

    4) You can get a 308 GT4 or a 308 GTS or a Mondial for near $20k which is very realistic, although check insurance 1st

    5) go to a racing school

    6) College, major in business or something that will get youan MBA or into law school , med school etc

    7) If you can handle the pressure try to get a job selling stocks & bonds over the summer

    Good Luck :)

Ah, now its a girlfriend you want. Get a haircut, take a shower everyday, basic hygiene is important. Now VERY important is get yourself a nice wardrobe with some shirts or jackets that really stand out. learn a lot of tasteful jokes & use them liberally.

I think Most important is chicks really dig confidence, lack of confidence makes them run. Just act like your'e the sexiest biotch on the planet & you know it LOL

Most important of all is that 99% of success is just showing up so when a chick presents herself, say hello

    Damn! Now you tell me...

Actually, looking back, if I had know then what I know now kind of thing, the thing that women crave the most is... drum roll - ATTENTION.

All you have to do is to pretend to really listen to whatever inane prattle a woman comes up with (Feelings, whoa, whoa, whoa, feelings), and she is yours.

the 355 might set your heart on fire but fire shoots out my gt4 pipes which would you rather have?

I agree go to school, what ever you do DO NOT BECOME A MUSICIAN, I wanted a ferrari since age 11, real smart (well I guess I was not that smart or I would not HAVE BECOME A MUSICIAN!), no fancy book schooling, but heavily regret that I had not gone to college! I would have 10 Ferrari's by now! Oh well save your money, cause it really is not how many Ferrari's you can afford, but how big is your garage that they will fit in, and this small agrage cost $700,000 in CA now......

Women are sophisticated, complex creatures that ....

... oh, heck. The reason that guys don't know what women want is that women can't tell us. Because ....

    ... they don't know either.

That's why they keep winding up with jerks and liars. ;)

Of course, being faithfully married for almost 28 years, none of this knowledge does me any good at this point. I suppose that there is a lesson here somewhere. Dammed if I know!
