The HD Loader mod or DVD 9 will not work with GT4, Sony is just trying to keep on step ahead of it's customers.
My brother is being an ass about selling it... He was saying 40$!!! But I told him to just let you have it. He said no... But I can still try. If I can't give it to you I'll sell it for 20$ because my brother was going to split the 40$ but I don't want any money for it.
Ok, I finally convinced my brother to just give it to you. But he says as long as you pay shipping. So if you want it still you can have it and if you cant get it to work at all you can mabey sell it or somthing. PM me your address and I'll send it.
My advise is DO NOT get the game then because you WILL spend too much time with it if you have other things to do. You will fall into the trap of I can wait until such and such time... ok half an hour more... ok I'll stay up later before I study. You can't put it down. I've played PG and I think they are even multiplayer wise. Single player/career mode is no question GT3 and GT4 are my favorites because of the variety and possible permutations on customization. Now the tracks are actually larger than they were in GT3 and the dynamics are more like a real car. You actually have to SLOW DOWN where as in GT3 you could just pound through some chicanes. In this one, what you thought you could do at 80mph around a sharp corner in GT3 you can't in GT4.. it will bite you in the ass. I have to say it makes driving GT3 feel like half the cars are F1 cars compared to the changes in dynamics. I've only played it a few hours though! Trying to find a Driving Pro wheel around here at a Best Buy (I have a gift cert of $50 I've been saving for GT4 or the wheel). The AI is OK... better in higher difficulties obviously. The Konami simulator is the only game that is touted to come close to GT3 and GT4. Sunny
I just moved into an apartment, just got a T.V. and I was thinking about getting an xBox or a PS2 because I wanted something other than just a DVD player. Which is better for driving games, I am guessing that you will say the PS2 but is xBox coming out with another game soon or is the PS2 just better for driving games. Joe C.
So, are there any detriments that come along with transferring 100,000 credits from GT3? I transfered them and now I'm having doubts about whether or not I need to start over and play it from scratch. Can someone list the differences, if there are any, that will occur during the game as a result of the transfer?
I LOVE GT4!! I transferred my 100,000 cr. then bought a lagunaseca blue M3, and even though im winning the early races pretty easy I know it will get harder...ive already lapped Nurburgring like 20 times (which is alot of time if you think about it...) and I ust took my M3 out there after a spent like 50,000cr. on it and i felt such and improvment from GT3, you can feel the car being more fast, nimble, and light, and steering it becomes harder too, there were a couple times the car started to get out of control and you have to concentrate on how to correct it, which is awsome I think because you really have to think about what your doing. Photo Mode= WOW the unlimited angles you can get and the back drops are just awsome. too much to talk about. Replay photo shoots= MORE WOW 64 differnt camera angles everytime you take a shot, and so many more options on how to make the picture great. Undoubtably the best game ive ever played...worth the wait.
Read my sig for my opinion on trans-save "cheating"... The most fun i had in GT3 was when i was starting out! And no, i dont think that there is any difference in the end. Except you took away a great joy of working up through the ranks....
I played it a lot last night without transferring my credits for GT3, I forgot how much a pain in the arse going through the tests again. I do like the new game physics but for someone thats been playing it for such along time, I guess it would be OK to transfer your earnings to the new game. Thats why a bought another memory card, I also found out it's great tool to use to build up your earnings faster by swaping the information back & forth from each other. I just got back from visiting another F Chatter thats rebuilding his Integra Type R engine. I'll be playing it for awhile tonight so more input to come.
Naw. You only start out with 10,000 but I wanted a 300zx TT which costed 13,000. So I transferred the credits and bought it. So I didn't skip very many rungs on the ladder. PS: The Historic car dealer only had the car in Cobalt Green; do you guys know of a way to get the car in red? Do I have to just wait and see if they get more in stock? The car cannot be bought new as it went out of production 6 years ago.
At first I tried using GT3 credits, but it was not as much fun as getting a stock crap car and racing and suping it up.
that's one of my fondest memories of the original GT, slogging my guts out to come third on autumn ring mini and win a few hundred bucks so i could upgrade my exhaust, then sitting back with a beer and watching every replay. thinking about it has that "i didn't know just how much fun i was having" kind of nostalgia to it, and it kinda feels like that innocence was lost once you started boosting the GTO-3000's to like 800bhp and stuff. i for one intend to do it from scratch... well, i might import my license tests from GT4.
I remember those GT2 days... I always bought the Supra Twin Turbo first and made it fast all through the game and in the end it had alot of hp. I'm going go import my license tests also. I already have all golds on GT3, and I think most of them are the same.
Love the spin you put on these things Ash.... Seriously, i agree with you. The most fun is had starting out! I cant wait to buy my Alfa Romeo Guilla GTA (or whatever it is) and race that. I want to tune it and optimise it, so i can run with the big boys.....
I imported! The only thing I REALLY don't like is that you can't get into a car without saving the game
heh, i saw a sweet little red 105 buzz by me this morning and it reminded me of GT4, that's the car that's on my books for an early model, until i can get me a Stratos. just can't get away from Bertone.
I cheated in GT3 and I have over 900MM cr... can I transfer those cr even though I got it because my friend plugged something into the PS2 and put in a cheat code? I wanna pick up GT4 but I have like no time to go through the ranks again... but I want it for the newer cars and more weekend multiplayer stuff here and there.
One thing I have noticed about the physics. RWD cars, when over correcting from throttle-on oversteer, are A LOT more realistic when compared to similiar real world situations. In GT3 it was very easy to correct horrible oversteer mistakes, but in GT4 the recovery takes a lot more attention, i.e., letting go of the wheel for a split second to let the rear catch up to the front. VERY COOL!
Some people just like to build garages. Some like it for the multiplayer. Lets boo-hoo someone else's decision later. We get the point! Besides, why offer a 265k cash prize car by completing 2 five minute races that you can win in a tuned Civic plus 5k for each of the 2 races? Hmmm? Is that cheating too because its built into the game? Special Condition Race #2, Costa di Amalfi, do both races, get the rally, sell, repeat. Either way you slice it, you just got owned. haha All in good fun. Sunny
