Hi guys...pulled the cam belt covers off of my GT4 last night and found that the forward cover is missing a bit of its edge near the crankshaft pulley - I believe it was ripped when the previous owner lost a belt. Doesn't affect the integrity of the cover other than there is about a 2-inch square area of belt protection exposed - thoughts?? Thanks for your input.

A belt failure cannot do that. Are you sure it is not around the waterpump area? It used to be a common form of butchery to cut or break off the part overlapping the waterpump in the early cars that were put together with studs instead of bolts.

I would not lose sleep over it unless you don't like the looks of it. If that is the case you can probably get one used from T Rutland.

Mine had been cut rather crudely in the same area for the same thing on my 308. I took an air grinder and cleaned it up a bit. Looks better!
