I like your seats - have only seen them in a few Ferraris. What are they called?

    Are they the Daytona Seats?

What Ferraris were these seats available for?

    Thanks, Dave

    Wasn't it chairs and flares?

Actually, each option was available individually, although, I guess over time, as the "chairs and flare" GTS became the most valuable, they got lumped together.

But each could be ordered as a stand alone.

    Mine are from www.reoriginals.com.

My car had black Daytona seats in it originally.

Daytona seats started, obviously, with the Daytona. They feature "inserts" that can either be the same color as the rest of the seat, or a contrasting color.

In addition to the Daytona, you could get some variation of Daytona seats on many other cars, including the Dino, the BB, and all modern Ferraris since the 456, excluding the 355.

Is there any difference in the Daytona's Daytona seats and the Dino's?

    The look identical to me.

Door panels are different, but the seats look the same.

I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you. Next thing you know, you are going to tell us that you didn't save the Ferrari air in the tires.

So the "chairs" are the Daytona seats.

What are the "Flairs" (or is it "flares")?

That interior is just too gorgeous for words - the best I've ever seen. Very very well done if at Maranello or Macon.
    Too bad I don't fit. :(

"Flares" refers to "flared" - i.e. extended - wheel arches

Well, actually, it is the original air in the tires, how did you know?

I also have retained the original fluids, I thought it best to keep the car as original as possible.

The car came from the factory with white paint, blue interior, and red carpet. Most of which was changed out way before I got it, or re-dyed.

I'm guessing that original car was quite a sight.

    Aw shucks, thanks. I'm blushing.

And, my 6'5", 275 lb. brother in law sort of fits. He was ok driving it. Knees splayed about the steering wheel. How big/tall can you possibly be??

Of course he enjoys driving little British cars.

Actually it had a stop along the way where it was painted dark blue, at least the little section I found under the headliner seemed to indicate that, along with the Dino Register.

I would like to add that NONE OF THE REPAINTING WAS DONE BY ME. I would have been very happy with an "All American" Italian car, very happy indeed.

Maranelloman, are you listening? Froggie? Bueller? Bueller? Does this get me off the "I hate Liberals" hit list??

Whe-ull, I am already readin' Texas Driver Maguzin'

I'm married up to a gal from South Carolina, and, I hate them damn Yankees.

Is that enuf to git me started in my re-edumacation into the ways of the South, or the West?

I shur' wud luv to be a real Sutherner or even better a Texican. Can I have a badge and be an honorary Texas Ranger?? (Not the kind GWB used to run.)

And I bu'leeve that Col. MM is from Californ-i-a, which did not defend the South during the War of Northern Agression.

So, wadda ya say? Can I dump the north, go all fired up southern? I'll burn my ACLU card, I promise. I'll even re-register in the party of Lincoln. UH- OH, that's not gonna work, is it?
