<sigh> People like you and JRV are all alike. The more you speak, the more everyone sees it. Advice to you and all those like you, chill out and enjoy life. I know you are mad at the World, but trust us, that's not the way to live.

As I told you in the PM I sent you, Kermit was in fact banned for spamming. I was one of the people he PM'd soliciting services. At first I just declined, then as he continued to bash Nick and I realized that not only was he not a advertiser, he was not even a subscriber, I notified Rob. My intention was not to get him banned, merely to bring it to Rob's attention that he should either start advertising, or at least subscribe to the service if he was going to PM people looking for work. You really should not comment on things which you have no knowledge off. And Nick answered the questions regarding his restruant business. I have yet to see Kermit address the fact that he does not have a business license.

If $$ were all that, then why can I still post here? I'm not a subscriber, and many like me have benefited greatly from the help of people like Verrell and others regarding service on our cars. I replaced the belts on my car in ~2-hours last weekend ($35 in parts - AC and Alt. not timing). Now, why does it take a $100/hr mechanic 4-hours and $100 in parts to do this at a shop? You'd think with a lift and air tools he could do a lot faster than I can. This site helped me find parts to do the work and I have to say, it was a LOT easier than my Accord belts which are a PITA to reach (the fender well doesn't come out like the F-car).

Have you ever hosted a site. Do you even comprehend how much money it costs for the bandwidth to keep this site up. Not ot mention the $$ spent to just get it running and it was FREE to all for at least 2-years. That was Rob's money, not ours. I don't think Rob is going to retire from the proceeds of F-chat. If he makes a little extra, more power to him. It's call "free market economy" - stupid!

But please, keep posting. You only continue to make a fool of yourself.

PS, I have not done business with either Nick or Kermit.

Over the past 5 years I have spent thousands of dollars with:

    Nicks Forza Ferrari
    Cavillino Motors
    Kermit
    and others.

The only one to screw me out of every dollar ($4,916.00) I sent directly to him was Matt "Kermit" Morgan.

Nick and Martin are the Best and make owning a Ferrari a true pleasure! & FC has been a great source of info and entertainment (although I could live with out those that blindly defend rip off artists).

I will not even consider being pissed at Kermit until he redesigns those low stacks so they fit in the corners of the airbox better, I buy some and they dont fit! :) And I thought I was getting beat up in the P&R area!!!! Plus Rob now that I know you are reading this how bout a gt4 in the revolving car thing at the top! :p It is really too bad that Nick and Kermit didn't get along better as with both in the same town seem they would benifit from the situation. My solution is not to let anyone touch my car then I have no regrets.

Send a good GT4 pic to Ryalex and he might be able to make one. We have a new 308 one, but I haven't placed it yet.

Spoke with Tim the Stick and the head with holes will ship to him on Friday....Monday at the latest.

I look forward to his "independent" review of the head and his ability to weld it.

This is only being done as Tim has requested the chance to fix it and he will not be held accountable for anything as to me the head is garbaged (it was unable to be welded by the guy who destroyed it over the 5 months that he said he was trying).

The other head will ship at a later date for Tims inspection, the consencus to date (by a second Head Shop recommened by Ferrea Racing Components) is that this one was ported so deeply that it would blow through the water jackets on start up and that the removal of so much metal destroyed proper flow and that the engine would now actually lose HP. Something I think has now been proven by the posting of a Dyno sheet by Spasso in another thread.
There is a fine line of porting on a Ferrari head and once you cross that the engine will become ****! These are not Harleys!

It was a pic of Paul's ride that made me stop lurking and join F-Chat.

Therefore, anybody fncks that up is in deep doo-doo, as it is no different than somebody mucking with certain multi-million-dollar rides, despite inherent or intrinsic value - though it is perceived value, it is worth far more than untold dollars which one holds aloft in regards to anything worth keeping.

So much for sentimental value, aye?

I recall Paul put in a good word for Nick about bolt'n'go adapters & pointed out Nick's Forza Ferrari also happened to be a FC sponsor.

I recall Paul providing helpful information time and again about acquiring proper spacers, what to do, how to do it, and when. The why is self explanatory.

I recall Paul laying his cards on the table, having been dealt those cards by a crooked dealer. He gave a whole lotta money for a whole lotta nothing and had a whole lotta patience. Who knew? You do. My only suggestion would be he declare, "This is a Public Service Announcement" on said posts. The more, the merrier. Stencil it into their foreheads.

Paul's sentiments, though some may not like to see it "interrupt" a care-bears thread, are expressed so as to say

    This could be you

I've gotta grab that.... I think I might be posting it up here in a little while!!!

Ohh dear god, what the hell was I talking about? I can't stop laughing! Hang on, I gotta go get a coffee.....

HAHAHAAHAH HA HAAHHA ah AHA hAA ........

Ok, breath deeply. I'm better now.

First off: Paul. The phone call the other day was constructive I presume. I appreciate your trust here and the chance to prove (or at least try to prove) that all of "us" aren't out to do this job just for the $$$. Some of us just love to do it, and basicly make minimum wage 16 hours a day so we can do what we love the WAY WE LOVE TO DO IT. I'm the first to admit I am ANYTHING but the owner of a highly profitable shop. Instead, I'm the owner of the most talked about hot rod shop in the Detroit area. Talked about because First: I don't like to screw up. And Second: If someone ELSE screws up, I don't hesitate to call them on it.

Unpopular with the other locals, deadly popular with my true-blood customers. It's the way I like it.

Secondly: I guess I'll come right out and say it here. "Hey Rob, everyone else. Moderators etc.... I blatantly, directly, and knowinly solicited work for my establishment through the use of this board. I am not a subscriber. I am not an advertier. I have only been a "member" of this forum for about 2 weeks. I have screwed up." Now exactly how do I fix that so the next time I do this the mods etc... don't come out of the woodwork calling me a soliciter of work who should know the rules. I don't know the rules on this: Please inform. Another post or PM would be perfect for this. Ok. That's off my chest.

Third: I'm sorry, I lost track of third. The frog... smacking the bunny rabbit thing.... HAHAH HAHHA HAh hah .....

    Ok that's enough. I'm out.

    Stick

In this case I really don't mind you helping Paul out and everyone is anxious to see the results. However, I don't expect you to be openly soliciting business. This time you are doing something to help a user out and I assume not making any money at it.

Did you read my PM about being a FC consultant down the road?

    KROWBAR,

IN RESPONSE TO YOU QUOTED ATTACK (SCROLL DOWN) HERE ARE SOME FACTS NOT THAT YOU CARE ABOUT FACTS.

An "officer of the court" picked up the parts from Kermit not my atty.

The signed paper you talk about was drafted by Kermit it talks about liabilty for damages due to his unsucessful welding and was seems to be written by a 3 year old and would never stand up in court. The fact of the matter is that I never paid for any welding and if I took Kermit to court it would have been for the the act of fraud and theft as well as the act of conversion. It was signed as it was so silly and allowed me to get my equipment back (Kermit was acting as his own atty in the mater). As I said before the court action would have cost more than the damages so I chose not to persue that direction.

I never said the Sheriff picked up my equipment, I did say he assisted in the matter...... he personally went and warned Kermit that a dectective would me assigned to the case if the parts were not returned....they parts were returned very shortly thereafter.

The only person that has deceived you is the one feeding you false information.

You ask for an Administrator to step in but in the same post accuse Rob Lay of doing something fishy by banning Kermit from FC after Kermit was warned several times.

You responses on FC to my posts continue to make you look like a fool and Kermits Cheerleader. What is your next thread going to be on a Vacccum line HP increaser?

Anytime that Kermit promotes his "stuff" I will warn FC users of him. Get used to it as I am not going away.

    Paul

    Paul,
I certainly do not want to take way the anger and frustration at the situation, for you have every right to it. But to be angry at people, is a different matter. To keep that anger alive does no one any good, and from personal experience, it only hurt oneself. I have learned about myself by watching the situation, how I had allowed a continued anger to in reality cost me far more in the long run It didn’t solve anything. Except keep me stirred up inside, so I ended up the only one that was really getting hurt.
I have enclosed a copy of the Waiver that I faxed to your lawyers office, to be then sent on to you. He didn’t ask for any changes, and as he is bound by law and by oath to watch out for your interests, he would not have let anything that wasn’t true go by. It clearly states that the problem was a recently discovered scale buildup, caused by overheating. That was the difficulty in welding, and it certainly would be considered a preexisting condition. I was unaware of it until I pulled a permanent plug out of the cam side and looked in. And you signed that fax “I agree”. By signing it, I gave away any recourse in collecting for the many hours I spent on the problem.
Paul, you are aware that I spent years as a State Certified Welding Instructor, specializing in the type of welding used in head repair. It certainly is not my lack of skill. That particular head was the first that I was not able to repair. Before that, ,my record was 100%. Now I cannot boast of that record. But that does not hurt me nearly as much as watching the pain and anger in another human being. I know quite well how it can build up until facts get distorted, and it becomes a driving force that is seemingly out of control. I have been there, done that, and know the damage it has done, and can do to me.
Anger is easy to get caught up in, I know. While in your anger you would like to see my business go. But in reality every post that is made causes people to look at my site, curious to see “Chrome Muffler Bearings”. But they find other products that they buy. In short you are doing more for my sales than my web master. Let us put this matter behind us, for both of our good. I do not want to get into a bunch of finger pointing, blaming, and such, as all of that, all of the ranting has yet to change that head the slightest bit, has it? But I can painfully tell the effect it has on the rest of ones life to let anger fester inside. You are a better man than that. Let it go, and grow happier.
In closing a wry observation to the statement that I am “mental”
I do have an Anxiety Disorder. Millions do, many who are not aware of it. It really is not what would put me in a ward somewhere, it just means I can have at times a bit of difficulty in high stress situations. No more or less.
In any case I wish the best for you, and I a truly sorry that it all went the way it did.
