Alright here is the problem. I'm toying with the idea of getting into my first ferrari and it's going to be a 360CS hopefully with stripe. MY problem is I love the car in black but I almost feel it's ones duty to make there first f-car a red one. Did any of you feel this way? I almost think that red CS' are to common but it does look very nice. I dunno if anyone else has felt like this but please help.

To me, I love red. Red would be the only option for me. But that is me. I think if you want the black then go for it. Black is my favorite color on just about any other car.

My 328 is gray, helps it stand out from the sea of red.

In truth, our local group tends to "off-color" cars for some reason.

    Jeezus I hope not.

Black CS with the stripe looks awesome, as does titanium and the various grigios. Go with what you like - red is nice but easy - dare to be different.

If I do red it will be like rosso fiorano or the new rubina metalizzato or whatever that is.

    Cheers
    Kevin

I'm on my third Ferrari, and they've all been red. So I'm in a rut. But by all means get the color you like.

Buy what you like. While red is my favorite there are several other colors that I like. My wife insisted that if I was going to by an F car it had to be red. So I gave in and bought a red one.

I generally wouldn't buy a black car just because it takes a lot of work to keep it looking good. They look great when clean but when dirty.....

I made it a point not to buy a red one. Too many red, yellow, and silver 360's around already.

I'd say go for what YOU like!

If youre considering resale, here's a fact, red CS's are actually pulling LESS than non-red ones

Yeah, you have to get red. Then you can sell it and get the color you liked best, already having had a red one. ;>)

I'm on my 3rd Ferrari and it's my first red one. I'm already looking towards #4 and I'm thinking of going back to non-red. Red is beautiful and it looks great on a Ferrari but it's WAY too common!

    1. Go for the colour you like. You're not out to please anyone else.

    2. You won't please everyone.. not many marques divide opinion on color as much as a Ferrari.. 50% of people you meet will say "A Ferrari HAS TO BE RED" .. 50% of people will say "Ugh.. they're all red.. that's so unimaginative.. black/silver/blue is much classier"

My 2c ? Go for red. Black is a biatch to keep clean.

It depends on how many others are around you. If there are no others in your area, well, then, everyone will expect it to be red. But if there are other red cars nearby, then choose another color. If you expect to drive the car a lot in the dark, some colors, including black, might be a bad choice. Then there's the matter of how hot it gets in the summer......

I'm looking at my first F-car too and agree w/ others ...red is traditional and ideal but she looks great in all different flavors. I'm a Black/Silver/Titanium fan.

It depends if you follow racing, how deep your commitment is, how obsessed you are etc, etc, etc, Red is the Italian racing color (or was) so it was a simple choice for me, now if I was Belgian the of course yellow would be an option. :)

I have seen many other beautiful Ferrari in many colors!!!

When I bought my first it "had to be red" - seemed obvious at the time. Second was black and my third is Scuderia/Stripe.

For my first Red was part of the dream. Now its just a case of what I damn well want! I'm paying all that wedge and I may as well choose something I like rather than what I think the next guy is going to prefer.

If you intend to sell your first Ferrari to get your second Ferrari, buy red. If you intend to keep it, buy whatever color you like.

I was looking for red too when I found my metallic black one. I still want red. I'll paint it one day.
