Just had my test pipes put on...OMG!

I hope your car is for track use only! Otherwise, you have just posted on an internation forum that your car is now illegal for use on public roads and have admitted that you have committed a felony by removing an emission control device from a car . You have also indicated that you're not too bright by posting such information for the entire world to see. Or do you think that the EPA and its enforcement division have no computers?

Man, lighten up. I am in law enforcement and all I read was that he put on TEST pipes. I am sure he will take them off for regular driving. By the way, I have a friend who is a Special Agent with EPA. They only work very large cases where the violations are egregious. They do not have the man power to look for loud pipes...if they did, you would never hear the pipes on a Harley again. Plus there are some on F-Chat who have convinced themselves (Horsefly and Don Hewey) that cops are corrupt and eat too many donuts, so clearly they would be too busy being corrupt than to chase after loud pipes on a Ferrari. And again, they are TEST pipes...this is only a test, do not be alarmed, nothing to see here

Judgeing by the number of posts that you have...you obviously have WAY too much free time on your hands and feel the need to take out your petty jealousies on someone who is trying to enjoy life.

Perhaps your time would be better spent engaged in gainful employment so that you to could enjoy a Ferrari or any passion instead of sitting next to your computer trying to bother people on one hand and wanking with the other.

 

At the risk of actually returning to the actual topic of the thread - congratulations!!! Sounds like your TEST of the TEST pipes has been more than satisfactory.

348 is a sweet-sounding engine - I love my Tubi/Hyperflow combination and recommend it regularly.

Go find a tunnel.

Have a tubi and pipes on my 575. Sounds fabulous.Of course, I switch to the
factory set up whenever I drive off the track. Right!!

 

Why are they called test pipes?

 

I'm in the middle of putting TUBI & test pipes on my father's "new" 348 Spider that he just got. I will complete the job tomorrow am, I guess I'm an idiot too...LOL!

The phrase "test pipe" refers to an ancient sanskrit glyph that was discovered by a French explorer in 1875 somewhere near modern Namibia. It loosely translates to:





"An emissions pipe used for testing purposes in place of a catalytic converter"

I've been testing mine for around 8 months now. The test is still on going!
