After nearly 2 1/2 months my car is back home. New wheels and tires, respray the front and rear bumpers, respray the rockers, all rock chips gone, even a new tool kit just for good measure! It was a pain but worth it. She looks beautiful and I can't wait until tomorrow so I can detail it. Yes, the shop detailed the car but tomorrow morning it's my turn. Hope to spend most of the day if my wife doesn't need me to help with a dinner party we are hosting tomorrow night. At least I can spend a couple to three hours before she even gets into the day. When I get it done, I will attempt to post a few pictures. Man, I can't believe how much I missed the sound, power and thrill of being behind the wheel. All the above for the bargin price of $11,871.44. What are we? NUTS??? And yet, I'm so happy.:)

Yea, Debbie knows. It will probably cost me a piece of jewelry! Wheels are Speedline's. Sherpa23 is the new distributor. He is really responsive and a great guy. Heck, I bought the car from him.
Fishplate to follow, man I knew something was missing :)

Very, very nice. But why will you detail her, especially given that she has just been detailed? Just curious.

I know it doesn't make any sense. But, no one ever details a car the way I want it. Shops wash, wax and vacuum but seldom do the little things like cleaning the engine, all the little corners areas in the windows and doors, the pleats in the seats, the joints where the dash meets and little particles get stuck, inside the wheels and it goes on and on. Plus, it is actually a form of recreation for me and I really love spending time polishing and playing with the car. Your's is a good question though, but redoing the detail makes me feel like I have a little something to do with the way the car is presented. Makes me feel good. Thanks for the comments, I love this car. It's my 4th one and even if I go for another, I think this one stays.

    JSL,

what a beautiful beast, congrats! I`m also in love with your house, wonderful Italian style and match perfect with your Ferrari:)

Well, about big bills.....I`m also used with this issues. I have payed 14.5K $ last year for the gearbox repair, new differential and big service....
    It always worth it!!!

Enjoy your drive and sunny SoCal.

Congrats car loooks very good, Speedline wheels look fantastic and perhaps the best part about detailing any car is that you get to appreciate those little things that at a glance one doesnt notice....

So let me see if I've got this right. You just got your car back after 2 1/2 months and you spent an 80 degree day detailing it and not driving it? Maybe I missed the part about the drive before or even after (I hope)! Just kidding.

Seriously, the car looks great. I absolutely love the 355 in silver (grigio titanio?). I think it shows the lines and curves better than any other color. Beautiful car!!!

Thanks for the compliment on the house but the back is why we live here. Here are some pictures I just took out our breakfast room window. I get to catch Bass from my dock anytime I want! Doesn't get better than that.:)

Thanks guys. Nowhere near OC. Our home is in the great metropolis of Clovis, California. Actually we are about five miles out of town at a lake project my company has sold since inception. Clovis is next door to Fresno. Seems we get a pretty bad rap in California but I would rather be here than just about anywhere else in this state. We are at the foot of the Sierra Mountains, 2 1/2 hours from Carmel, 1 1/2 hours from the gate of Yosemite, 1 hour from Kings Canyon and smack in the middle of the state. I think we have some of the greatest drives around. It's a good thing we can go to all these places so easy since it gets pretty warm (HOT) in the summer. Prices here are much more reasonable than just about anywhere else in CA. However, by non-California standards, we are still ridiculous. Custom homes in this project go for about $300- $320 per square foot. That's nothing though, my partner's house in Carmel is worth about $1200-$1300 per square foot. I'm glad they have it since I get to use it for Concorso Italiano and not go to the expense the rest of the year! Despite what some may say, the central valley of California is a beautiful place.

Man, Homes in your area are very expensive.
It’s about 100-120 sq. ft. here to build. Using your
local costs it would cost me over 2M to rebuild,
(almost 10M in Carmel) F***ing Insane!
