So, soup for you? You are on the 430 list? I am not involved in this melee, only a bemused observer. I find games like this repugnant at best, yet FNA, many dealers, and customers allow it. Nice learning curve if it is true. If BW thinks folks with F-cars don't talk amongst themselves, try again. Very small world that people who'll pop 200K+ for cars repeatedly, even smaller over that. You can sell anybody one car, but it is a LOT harder to repeat sell, and preserve a relationship. If that doesn't matter to BW, and the stories I have heard are true, what is left to say?
    Hoping it isn't so.

Do not dis this gentleman. He is a true enthusiast and you would die to have just a few of the cars he has had in the past. He is just stating a view he has and I fully believe he has every right to do so since I know several of the things he experienced. He is a great guy and loves cars. He is not just plugging this dealership. As you know, I worked at FoD for three years and know him well...........

I'd suggest that anyone having trouble w/ BW call and talk to the guys in SA. I've been in there a few times over the last 6 months and I'm always amazed at how willing they are to sell cars. It's almost like going to a regular car dealership, not an exclusive club.

FoSA is one great dealership, they talk no smack and are steight to buisness, if anyone would want to talk to them ask for Tony or Matt, they are great guys, as ive experienced in the past do not talk to John D. (*Thanks Mark and Seth*:)) If you go to the dealership, every car is mostly sold by Tony, great guy...just some advice...they treat everyone the same.

I think the issue is that you are the only person who seems to know who this person is.......considering his profile says nothing. Given the amount of "one hit wonders "that appear on the site, there is no indication that would have otherwise said this person wasn't another one. I don't think the request is unreasonable....however, it is unreasonable to expect that any of us would have ESP and know what you know.

I just had them do the belt service on my 360 and they were a pleasure to do business with and were $4500 LESS than FOH!

This is all so true... One particular instance comes to mind, when Audiguy was the only one who was defending the ebay 612 while everyone else was crying fraud. Turns out it was one of his former FoD clients, and the car showed up at Carsons ECN a few days later. So I'd tend to believe Audiguy.

I still would love to hear on this forum the explanation for the "list" issue. Having been in similar situations, I'd truly like to hear how this crap is rationalized.
    Silence is deafening.
    And I agree about FoSA.

This particular gentleman is low key and does not like to draw attention to himself. I looked over his profile and noticed it was empty but that is just the way he is. You will notice that he has not come back on to defend himself against a needless remark. I am like Tillman, we should welcome anyone new to F/C and wait to see how they are before we make rash judgments as to their intent here. He does not need to defend himself, he was just passing along his personal observations about the way he has been treated in the past.

I wonder just how many here actually know someone who has been removed from the Boardwalk list. Rumors have a way of manifesting themselves and being blown out of proportion. If someone had their name on a list there but no deposit had been placed to solidify the position, they were not on the list. A deposit holds the position, a promise that "I will buy one" does not constitute a contract.........If you KNOW someone who had given a deposit was removed, let us know.

And yes, I am probably privy to some information that some others here are not because of my association with a large group of Ferrari owners, racers and enthusiasts. But I believe that Rob, Tillman, Jim, Carbon McCoy, Brian Stradale, Darth 550 and a number of others will testify to my sincerity. I try only to add constructive and informative items to these forums. I hope I am not the source of anything that can be taken as negative or personally offensive. If I am, I apologize for that......

Just one question. What did they not do during your belt service that FoH was quoting you a price for? Unless something different was being done, the price should have been very close to the same. $4500 is a very large amount of difference for the same job.

He's a cool guy, so no need to go on the attack.

    So am I
I have one name, whose permission I do not have to share. I have heard of 2 others. I posted based on an "N" of 3 in a 2 day period, not an "N" of 1.

Jim, this is not about you, I have no problem with anything other than the appearance of games at a newly awarded/sold franchise. I am content with my dealer, and I have not had these problems with them. Since FNA is shall we say "anal" about territories and new car sales, this development, as I said, IF TRUE, is worrisome.

I have dealt with many dealers, brokers, and restorers, have shown @ FCA, PCA, and Pebble, and still see this nonsense ongoing. I haven't done a concours in 15+ years because of some of this, and I am rapidly running out of brands to deal with based on business practices like this. I love these cars, but I doubt the BS is worth it. Shame, as they are a lot of fun.

Again, Jim, you are a stand-up guy by most estimations, and I would only like to hear the BW side of story. Client endorsements are great, but with the funny stuff that happens to limited production cars in high demand, coincidence is not so likely.

I felt that this was not aimed at me but I did want to make my side known. I do not know of the removal from the lists of anyone but as you say you have a name, I can believe it. I would not ask you to reveal the name as I believe a certain degree of privacy is a good thing.

I do know that Greg Minor does not like lists. I also know that they can be the source of a lot of skepticism since many people will want to be moved up by offering "favors" to the dealership or a particular salesperson. I also know that some will get on a list only to sell their slot for a higher price and profit from the demand on a vehicle that they never intend to purchase in the first place. But they can be very good if administered the correct way and that everyone has equal opportunity once they put up a deposit and guarantee purchase of the vehicle, barring any unforseen circumstances.

I still love Ferrari's, even though I have been gone for about two years now. Maybe in the future, if the cards are right..............................
