    If you go to jail and someone comes forward and admits their guilt and proves it was them, then you go free. You can then get some sort of request form asking for the court to not only say "you didn't do it" but you may be able to get them to say "no way, no how you did it".
    I think it's tough to get and is rarely heard of but it's there. < Legal costs may be the reason more people don't do it or perhaps after you sue the government for millions they tell you to walk away and not make another stink about it.

    Do your homework. Find a dozen murderers who are free in the US due to tiny little "loopholes". You have 2 minutes, which is more than enough time to find 12. I'm not saying the US is bad or doesn't care, just that so many seem to walk or get 2 years less a day.
