I saw a black over tan Mondial cab (3.2 I think) parked in front of Autohaus Bayern on Beaverton-Hillsdale yesterday. It just so happened we needed some gas so I stopped into the gas station next door and hopped back over to Autohaus to get a closer look while the tank was getting filled.

No rear license plate. Appears to be in for service. Top was down. Lots of parts and "stuff" in the back seat. Original except for the black five spoke wheels (from a 355 IIRC?).

At first I wasn't wild about the black wheels but the more I looked at it, they started to grow on me. Looks nice.

Saturday (Feb.26) in NW Portland traveling down Lovejoy St. about afternoonish I saw a red Mondial with black convertible top up (shame on you, it was GORGEOUS outside! ;) ). I'm new to Ferrari's so I couldn't tell the year. It had the trapizoidal side intake vents so I know it wasn't a late model. I about ripped my girlfriend's arm off to get her attention because 1) the car looked great and 2) I wanted her to see what a 2+2 'family' Ferrari looks like :D

P.S. She didn't turn around in time so she missed it. If the owner is here and would like to take us for a ride around the block feel free to email me :p

It was probably the Mondial Cab that lives near me in Cedar Mill. I've chatted with the owner a few times-- he uses it as his daily driver.

Black TR this afternoon on Barnes Road near St. Vincent Hospital.

And, of more interest to me than anyone else who reads the northwest section, I dropped my 365GT 2+2 off at ATD for some work and my car joined TWO other 365 2+2s in his shop. And here I thought mine was the only one in Portland!

On the way to work this morning I drove down NW 23rd (east bound I believe, away from Burnside). I was looking for that Ferrari that was talked about on page one, by the bakery. Anyway, I saw a red Ferrari on the left side of the street of 23rd. I don't know what it was...it LOOKED like a four-seater but I'm not sure. I think it was a 246 Dino

This is the only thing I found that looks like it and that nose looks very much like it.

Anyway, it almost certainly was me, as how many red vintage Ferraris could there have been parked on 23rd this morning?

That Starbucks at 23rd and Pettygrove is fast becoming my favorite. Lots of comfy chairs!

Why yes, yes it did! If you saw a yellow VW Squareback (the old, air-cooled rear engine type) slow down and almost stop next to it, that was me :) Very nice. You know, there's that coffee and crepe, two story house that is rather good -- I don't remember the name of the place.

So edumicate me, what Ferrari is it exactly? I've got the "Ferrari" book by Lehbrink and Schlegelmilch (say that drunk five times fast!).

It is a 1969 365GT 2+2. Often known to vintage enthusiasts as a "Queen" because Road & Track dubbed it the "Queen Mother of Ferraris."

It is also the largest Ferrari ever built. Still can do 150MPH though!

Mike--I feel your pain, bro. Went a 1 hour blast in the Stafford area, then ran errands in Beverton, then went to the office and dropped off some things in John's Landing. I've NEVER been sighted. Sometimes I think my car must really be urban camo, instead of grigio titanio.

Saturday at the Convention Center while leaving the Portland Roadster Show, I spotted a red 360 Spider in the parking garage. It was about 7pm.

Also... (side note), there was a beautiful 250 GT Lusso (IIRC) inside the Roadster Show.

....as usual I spotted myself in the mirror again on thursday. I'm still going around and round with my oil pressure sending unit. But I'm pretty confident thats the problem and the engine is fine. May go for a spin today since its so nice out!

Glad to hear from you. I was out for a bit on Sat. Went to my friends Kents house who has the Euro 83 QV. we admired our rides for a while, polished off some smudges them took his out for a spin. Came back to his place and looked them over for a while longer then took mine out for a spin too. I'm still being careful with mine since the gauge is still acting funny. It was fun to see the neighbors do the total rubber neck as they drove by seeing the two red Ferrari's in the driveway. :) It would be great to all get together. You can call me if you want. I'll be home doing a few things. I'll keep my cell on me. I'll pm you the #. Hope to here from you today.

Today was a good, no... Great day. I spotted a sweet black 348ts, and also a beautiful euro 308 QV in my rear view mirror. I think they were chasing me! Egads! Then they were along side me. Very fun. I wonder what people thought seeing us zipping along the back roads. Well at least I was zipping. Took you two long enough to get around the white Subaru? It was great to meet you Mike, I'm glad Kent could hook up with us on such short notice. What a trio of such differnt looking Ferraris. I'm sure of many more good times to come.

    Thanks for the moment!

    Kurt

    (still smiling) :D

(glad these things have windshields or I'd be spitting bugs for a week!) :p

Just got back...that drive got my blood going I just couldn't take her home...
Great to meet you and Kent!
Kent wouldn't pass that Subi and I didn't want to look like a Jackass passing him and the Subi at the sametime. It was pretty cool when we came to that 4 way stop. You went left up that hill into the twisties...then Kent right behind you, then me. I heard both you guys wind though 2 gears echoing in that little valley...Had the biggest smile on my face as I got ready to give chase!!!! Damn I sure love driving my car. We will definately hook up for some nice long rips soon. Thanks again, loved your and Kent's cars. Please PM me Kent's # if you could so we can all stay in touch
