Does anyone have x-reference for a Baldwin BF-661? I haven't been able to post these on my site, but I've got 10+ of them but don't know where they belong. BF661 has been discontinued by Baldwin by all accounts. Could this be 308QV ?

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer!

    Best,
    Daniel

p.s. I'll GIVE one away to the person who correctly identifies (and needs) one.

I have a new fuel filter for 84 308gts qv, It's F of UK part number 117792, Bosch F5601 (box lists Fram G3744, Hengst H84WK01, Knecht KL30, Mann WK853, Motorcraft EFG32). It's 150mm long (without adapter yours has), 81mm dia @ center, seems like 12mm fitting @ rolled seam end and 14mm @ other end. Hope that helps.

What's wrong with Bosch? You can't ever really go wrong with a Bosch product so what makes the Baldwin better. (I use the Baldwin oil filters)

I recently ordered mine (for a carb 308) from http://www.adiesel.com/ and got it with no problem. Then the dog ate it (no, really!) and I ordered and received another with no problem.

Funny, its not listed in their latest "Obsoletes" catalogue, but when I searched for it at Baldwin's site, it could not find it. The closest thing in their Obsoletes catalogue is the BF660 and it is replaced with BF1179.

Baldwin doesn't make 308 carb fuel filters. I've checked ALL of their catalogues. Only the air and oil filters.

FWIW, in my notes, I have written down that 308's which have two fuel filters (1980?) use Baldwin BF1177. If you look that up at their site and check the specs of that filter, does it match or come close to the BF661?

    Doc -

There's nothing wrong with Bosch at all. I've got these filters, and I'm just trying to see if anyone needs one. Moreover, every fuel filter I've sold thus far at Ricambi has been a Bosch unit, simply because that's what is lining my shelves and I didn't know how to classify these Baldwins.

Baldwins are so good looking, don't you think??? (See below)

Fuel filter TR according to Ferrari UK website, and 308 apparently.

And, nope, don't have a TR, so You'll have to send me the car, and the filter.

Peter the Baldwin part numbers for the carb 308's are PF834, ( FISPA type), and PF866 ( Fiamm type), which is what i have, and is more common. my former carb 308gts used the pf866 also and i replaced it before selling the car.

    Daniel;

Filter replaces Ferrari #117792 on Bosch F.I. cars. Fits TR, 308, and Mondials according to interchange. Also crosses to Fram #G-3744 and Wix #33279 if anyone's ever in a pinch.

Can't comment on the aesthetics, however.

Excellent first post! Great detail, and much appreciated. If you're in need of a filter, drop me a PM and it's yours. In the meantime, I'll post it into the correct categories.

The photo of BF-661 looks exactly like the fuel filter on my 1987 Audi 5000 CS Quattro which, like the 308i/QV, uses the CIS system. The dimentions are the same as "mcguy" reported, 81mm body OD, 150mm long w/o adapter (add 20mm for the adapter which my filter has, it's a 14mm inlet thread BTW) and a 12mm outlet thread.
The filter that I have is a Bosch, the box reads #71044, the filter reads
0 450 905 133. The box also has the number
    0 450 905 133-85E on the side.
    I hope this helps
    Mike
