THE DON, please accept my apoligies I posted that in my opinion I suspected that you were a " misguided loyal customer" of Karl Verdi who had faked ID to boost Karl,s popularity . I have recieved a call from Karl who assures me of your existence.

Karl told me that you have indeed recently puchased a Testarossa at a very young age and you are the proudest owner of a Ferrari that he Knows.

I to owned what was my dream car at the age of 24 a E Type 5.2 V12 convertable . I was the proverbial dog with two dicks.

Again I would like to apoligise if I embarrassed you, but in way of a small token of apoligy I would like to give to you a Ferrari book "Ferrari Testarossa" by David Sparrow ( Osprey classic Marques )

I hope you will attend FerrariChat meetings and Ferrari Owners Club meetings. I would also like to offer you a Free trackday in my 308 IMSA I will allow to drive my car at a premier race track . It is a a 380 BHP Light weight Ferrari

    Please post your acceptance

Have you got a book on 308s going spare then?

I'd be happy to drive your IMSA Ferrari too - whilst Brands Indy is my favourite, I'd quite like to try Donington, 380 bhp through the Craner Curves.....mmmm....

    Hi David

Its OK. Thanks for apology and the offer to send me the book and drive your car, if we do meet one day I would be happy to take your kind offers. In the meantime all I want to do is to enjoy the Testarossa. I will look into joining the Ferrari's owners club.

    Kam

I believe you live in London Kam, I have always loved the Testarossa and would like the opportunity to meet with you , perhaps at one of the many "ride Outs "organised on this forum, trust there is no better way to enjoy a Ferrari than in a group. I have been all over Europe in convoys of Ferrari it,s very special.
The offers stand and I can not wait to meet you and apoligise in person having quite stupidly doubted your existence. There are many people on here who own Testarossa,s and one I know is Concours.
I am also willing to give you track tuition to allow you to enjoy your car in the safe enviroment again there is no better way to enjoy your car.

I do hope we can meet to allow me to make it up to you.

    Hi David

I met Kam at Verdi's today and got to see the testarossa. I mentioned the FOC track day at Silverstone in April and suggested that he might want to come up and meet the bunch up there.

    regards
    James

    Excellent idea James,

I was reminded that the track is,nt everyones idea of "fun" and there are still people who simply don,t wish to take their Ferrari,s on race tracks.

Hopefully Kam will be keen to use his , do you think Kam will use his car on the track.

James how long have you had your 355Challenge , did you have the car road registered, whats its history. You may know I have just sold via Rosso Corsa, There are several people currently clambering for road registered Challenge cars, one potential buyer was offering over £5,ooo over the asking price.

    Hi David
I suspect that Kam will just come up to meet the folks, didn't get the impression that he would be tracking his car.

I have had the challenge car for a couple of weeks now. It is road registered which was inportant for me as I need to be able to drive it to tracks ! I bought the car from Nigel Chiltern-Hunt, it was formerly JK's car and was brought into the UK from Germany. I only did one track day in my 355GTS but did many in the 964RS and I am really looking forward to my first outing in the Challenge car.

Look forward to meeting you there. ? You bringing the IMSA car

James , I went over some of my messages and now realise we corresponded on the purchase of 355 Challenges Richard Lukins of Rosso Corsa
Tricky Dickie Got my asking price and a bit more, suddenley there was a massive interest on 355 Challenges after a long quiet spell.

Your car looks fantastic in Black, I once owned a Black 308 Carb GTS that I tracked to , almost.Look forward to seeing you at Silverstone maybe.

I may have a potential buyer for the 308 IMSA and Silverstone suits the car, if not I need to attend to apoligise to people face to face after my fiasco last weekend. I will be able to give you some tuition if you wish having raced Silverstone many times but only ever managing a second behind ....a 355 .and another second behind Alan Cosby,s GT Testarossa in the wet , he,d trounce me in the dry.

    Hi David

If you are around and available I would appreciate some tuition. I have done a few track days but only Silverstone once and never in a 355.

Look forward to seeing you there

I have only ever heard good things about NCH and remember their restoration of a BB LM it was wheeled into a Hotel exibition room as a centre piece at one of the FOC prize giving days. It was stunning I could,nt take my eyes off it. In some way it was too good to track or race. What a car.

Ferrari with a pedigree racing History my absolute dream. I came close to buying a 348 LM with all spares BUT it,s history at Le Man was somewhat flawed in that it crashed in a early practice and never actually raced. Unfortunately thats as close as my budget would get me to a Ferrari Le Man car.The engines were for Saleyears ago at Simpson racing . I considered one for my IMSA but they were a little too expensive.

I wonder what happened to that 348 LM???????
