Scheduled for Saturday, April23, at 12 noon ROE III is open to all makes of vintage automobiles with a special emphasis on Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and other fine Italian motorcars. "This is the third year that Galluccio Family Wineries has been chosen as the site of the ROE," said Vince Galluccio. "The ride to historic cutchogue is picturesque---perfect for touring--- and the winery's Great Lawn is an ideal spot to display the cars and enjoy the barbeque lunch we serve. You couldn't ask for a nicer way to spend a spring weekend on the Nork Fork." Last year more than 60 sports cars ranging from Ferraris to vipers dotted the sprawling lawn at the winery. Visitors strolled the grounds, soaking up the sun, feasting on the sumptuous lunch, sampling wine and admiring the automobiles. "The ROE appeals to enthusiasts and families alike," observed organizer Sam Germana of FerrariChat's New York Tri-State Region. "This event is not just for 'car guys' or 'gals', but for anyone who appreciates Long Island's East End, fine wine, magnificent cars and nice people." Admission to the ROE area is free for spectators, $35.00 if you want to enter a car and enjoy the barbeque lunch. The rain date for the event is April 24, 2005.
