Hi all I think the Ferrari 456GT does not get so much attention here on the Fchat as it should get, I think this is an amazing car. So this afternoon I took a bunch of pix of my own collection, hopeing that other chatters will follow with their 456 models. So if you have any pix of your 456, please post it here, lets not "forget" about this stunning car. I dont know if I've managed to collect the entire 456 collection - the only model I dont have right now is the darkblue metallic (which are on the way in) Have YOU seen any other colour besides these in my collection, please let me know - I would love to get ALL of them.(not the airbrushed and those which are loaded with decals) All the models are 1/18 and Bburago (the 456M is a Maisto) PS:Some of the models looks a bit scratched up, they are NOT, its only reflection from the ice. I think you have most of them. There is also rose/pink/copper/champagne-coloured one as well (no idea what the real name of the colour may be). What's the story with the wheels on the blue 456 in post#5?
Pål you are and you will always be amazing with all your 1/18 cars. Fine and beautifull cars Pål . I hope I see you, on some of our meetings next summer. BTW my dad has started again, Pål you will know what I'm talking about So on this moment it seems getting All ok Thanks buddy for sharing those beautifull painted cars in the Norwegian Ice Kinnie
Paul, I see the therapy you had was a waste of money . Just kidding, those cars look stunning BUT WOULD LOOK BETTER WITH ANGELINA!!!!!! Jurgen
LL Actually, she's UNDER the ice... No, just kidding - but as you see in the pix, its still winter time up here, and I need to do this stuff outside (due to pyro tech) Thanx for being so patience
The story with the tuned model is actually a rip-off LOL - they DO l@@k kinda cool in the pic, thats why I placed a bid on it and won it - when I got it I looked under the model to see how he had done this, oohhhh man, I belive a 3 year old kid can do a better job, the axle is lose, and you can move it from side to side and the rear wheels are glued stuck.... So it's just another model to be stored away.
Not for long: She is so hot, she'll melt it... Since you got so many 456, how about modifying one into the Spider version handmade for the Sultan of Brunei? I have pics of the real car, if you need. I also have a 456 Spider, but it is LHD.
Thanx alot buddy Ya, I also looking forward to meet you at SPA in June, I 'd just HOPE you'll have your 456 (1/1) ready by then...
I've been thinking about that, I see the spider on the bay from time to time, but the prices are astronomical...so maybe I'll make one for my self, need to buy a Dremel first. 456 models on the german bay is not so expensive anyway - usaly upto 10 Euros!
Doing a regular LHD Spider with the Dremel tool is fairly easy. Just use some vinyl or leather for the back, no problem. The Sultan's Spider is a RHD. That is a lot more difficult to make. It also has some very unique green leather interior.
Paul - I found a picture of the copper/rosey/whateverit'scalled-coloured 456. Wasn't there a Prince Bernhard green 456? Or was the green just standard dark green but with a special licence plate? Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW...thanx Joev I've never seen that one...nice....hmmm..what do we call this colour?? I hope I'll get it some day. I also know Bburago has a Limeted edition of a very very light blue which the colour changes when you turn the model around, I'll see if I can find it... BRB
Nah...I couldnt find it right now, but I found the Spider which Andreas was talking about (LHD) And this silly airbrushed 456 - Com'on, who paints a Dino on his Ferrari?!?!?! This is SO unreal.... (I've seen a purple Diablo 1/1 with dolphins painted on.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Back in the eighties I have seen a dark blue BBi with a gigantic Samson lion head painted on the front bonnet. Not kidding.
Paul - interesting grey 456 cabrio on eBay http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2583&item=5963483196&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW haven't seen this one before. The blue one that changes colour as you turn it may be one of those Standox paint jobs? I've never understood the airbrush thing - so many 1:18 Ferraris on eBay with bizarre airbrush paint jobs on them. For example: 1) Cheese 360 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2495&item=6901112419&rd=1 2) Horse 348 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2495&item=6938082283
Ditto. Goes along the same lines as "race versions" of made up race cars. Remember those clowns with all the 1/18 Enzos in fictitious racing trim?
Agree, they look awfull, this DOSENT happen in real life - my worst find was a tuned 250 GTO with 20" rims and airbrush on the bonnet....if anyone did this in real life, they would have been shot ...and Mr. Enzo would have flipped over in his grave! Ofcourse they are great artist they who paints the models like this, but NOT on a Ferrari If you do a Ferrari 1/18 search on the german site, then you'll find alot of crazy stuff www.ebay.de
