Hi my 95 355 has suddenly developed an air con problem. It goes like this: - the first 5 seconds of starting the car, a buzzing noise can be heard from inside the car...from the dash area (before I turn the air con on) - after 5 seconds, the buzzing sound disappears, but when I turn on the air con, there is cold air but it seems to be coming from the wrong outlets (mainly footwell, and windscreen areas)...irrespective of what position I put the air control knob. Very little air coming from the main vents in the centre of the dash and the sides. - the buzzing noise kinda started at the same time that this air con issue arose so can't help thinking it's related. Anyone know what this could be? some kind of actuator or something? Is it going to be a costly part? Any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance.
Not exactly sure - but: If you open your hood - you will see the air junction box just below your windscreen. There is a little motor that contols a valve for opening and shutting the valve flap- see if that little flap is stuck - there are a few threads on this happening and could be the issue...
