Depending on weather and family plans, anyone interested?
Tony I'm probably going to Stanstead on Sun AM in the 550 to pick up a couple of tyres leaving Reading aorund 9.30am Not the most exciting destination I grant you but if you are bored and want to make a convoy of 2
I'd be interested, but then I have the same old problem that seems to plague me of not actually being able to get out of bed before midday, so miss out on all the early morning drive outs..
OK, well its gone 3.30 am and I've just walked through the door from beers night in the City - and straight onto F-Chat - how sad?? (OK so I didn't pull tonight...). Promise I will got to bed early tomorrow (or today even) if anyone wants a Sat morning drive out....
If you fancy driving on some nice country roads and then ending up at a nice pub then the mother-in-laws place in Ashford is a good place to go to.It would probably mean being a mid-morning drive and it might be abit to far for some of you. Daz
Ah.... just having some issue with my car... oil pressure guage not registering... damn. Touch and go whether I can make anything tom morning....
Tomorrow is difficult but a bacon butty on Sunday morning would be good. I know we've 'done' Box Hill, so what about somewhere like Tattenham Corner on Epson Downs. I've not been there for a few years but there used to be a burger bar in the car park next to the Pub on top of the Downs. I'm fairly sure this is used by other car clubs. Has anyone been there recently? It has great views over the race course. Around 10 ish would suit me. Steve
Sunday it is then Tony! Let's see who else is coming and we can plan somewhere to meet up on the way. I will take the M25 to Jct 8 (Reigate) so we could meet in the Reigate Hill car park which is a few 100m south of there (also has a cafe I think!). So who's in....? Steve
I can make Sunday too.... Tony - what route would you drive in from Twickers? Can meet you along the way somewhere.
Eric , i'll join M25 @ Jct 10 but can meet you before that if you want. I'm couple of miles from Kingston Bridge. Steve, don't know the Reigate Hill car park but sure we can find it.
Tony, I would go - Upper Richmond Rd to Roehampton Lane, join the A3 at the top and then down the A3 joining M25 @ J10 - are you heading down any of those roads (A3 maybe??) Or I could meet you near Kingston Bridge somewhere, thats pretty close as well.
Tony, Eric, The Reigate Hill car park is very close to Jct 8. From the junction, just take the A217 towards Reigate and after a few hundred yards there's a fork to the left (keep in the left hand lane) signposted to a car park, you can't miss it. There's a cafe building and it's popular with walkers. Shall we say 10.00 on Sunday? Steve
