I would also add that a "real" tifosi is an unconditional Ferrari fan, to the point of blind worship. Clearly not all of us are that insane, although apparently a few are....
add another one guys, I'm with Imperial, red in both eyes and will watch a Ferrari parade anyday I like to see a close race but it has to be a red car come out on top, nothing else will do. If you're happy to see another team win you're not a Ferrari person, you're a motor racing person...BIG difference, I'm a stronger Ferrari person than motor racing
Ferrari is my religion and my God. I will always wish and pray for a Ferrari 1 - 2!!! 8 days and 12 hours to go.... Bahrain will be the start of the comeback! F2005... it is time to silence the critics again.
I expect the comeback for Imola or France. I don't think the Bridgestones will hold up in the desert temperatures.
Look, all I can say is that it has been a great 5 years... I really really want Ferrari to win this year too. But I understand that they cannot always win. I am thankful that I was alive to see Ferrari and Michael dominate F1 like has never been done before. I just hope that it does not take another 20 years to win a world championship. If it does take another 20 years then I will continue to be there at each race with a Ferrari flag waving it as high as I can hoping that Ferrari win. I only wish that I am alive to see it happen again.
I think the 21 year streak was a fluke: Special (idiotic) circumstances at Ferrari, some bad luck (e.g. Arnoux, Alboreto, Prost, Irvine almost won the title) and other factors within F1 caused it. People (like you) claim the new rules were made against Ferrari to break their dominance. That is partly true: They're designed to break the dominance of one team. They are not strictly against Ferrari. So as much as they have helped to break (temporarily?) Ferrari's dominance, they will eventually also prevent dominance by Renault, Toyota, whomever. I truly believe the new F1 field of 2005 is VERY close together and it takes not much to tip the balance. And that's a good thing. Because that will also assure nobody will lay dormant for another 21 years. Except maybe Minardi...
Put it this way: I'm sure that the moment Ferrari become uncompetitive, F1 Inc. will do all they can to give them a boost. If you think they legislate against a dynasty like Ferrari now, what would the rule-makers do if a Toyota or Renault achieved similar dominance?
I know what they'd have done back in the eighties while monsieur Balestre was still calling the shots. Luckily that guy is gone. BTW: Remember Jabouille and Arnoux winning the first two races of the season? They were also fly away races and it looked like Renault had the championship in sight. And then it all fell apart.
