Need alternative for fuel & brake line clamps

When I had my car in at Classic Coach for a check out they replaced a couple those plastic push on retainers that are used on a 355 to secure fuel and brake lines on the underside of the car. At least that's the model they told me they were used on. It's a plastic or nylon piece that is pushed onto a ribbed stud on the car and then the lines snap into place into the plastic piece one on each side of the stud. They don't work very well and I'd like to replace them with something that doesn't come loose.

I need to retain the spacing between the dual lines. I'm hoping someone else has found a better solution to this.
I can always mount a lot of rubber insulated clamps but I was hoping someone has a really great way of doing this.

Any ideas?

My car is Maserati Cup car from 96 that I only use at track events, it's not road legal. It already has a some 355 Challenge hardware on it but this method of securing the lines is strickly Mickey Mouse.

I think Earl's makes some hardware you can use for their lines which ought to work here.
They're not exposed on the bottom of the car, are they?

Yes they're exposed on the underside of the car in some areas. I don't think I'd want gas lines running through the interior. There are shields over them in certain areas though.

 

Zip ties.
Pull the tapered end of the tie thorugh the hole where the plastic keeper would mount, then loop the tie around the wire/hose/etc you're trying to stay and then lock it. Very simple. 'Race proven' (by shadetree himself ... me.)

 

Thanks for the thought. It mounts on a post with ridged on it, much like threads. It's a nylon? piece that holds 2 parallel lines which snap into place into the nylon piece. Then the nylon piece pushes onto the post. BUT IT DOESN'T STAY THERE! Very frustrating and a stupid cheap idea. Kind of like those damn plastic snap fasteners they use everywhere on cars now for fender liners and and interior panels.

I'm working on my car Tuesday so I'll post a picture. It's a very boring but important detail.
